You turn your head around, a large smile on your face as you were excited to see Rosa!
Rosa, man was she your dream girl. She was the first person who really spent the time and get to know you from this Academy. You love spending time with her and honestly... you love being with her. She’s kind, beautiful, funny, smart, and honestly a dream. You have developed a crush on Rosa, and you feel like that was fair. Granted how amazing she has been with you.
So you were glad when you heard Rosa and turned around to see her waving. A bit... less glad when you saw who was next to her.
It was her best friend Hilda. You would recognise that cap anywhere. Honestly, you don’t mind her. The two of you get along well, in fact you could argue you have more in common with Hilda rather than Rosa.
But she’s not Rosa, and as much as you like Hilda you would rather spend your time with Rosa one on one.
Not getting this chance, as you say hello to both of them as you three work.
“Did you have a good sleep?” Hilda asked you.
“Honestly yeah. Kinda relaxing out in the outhouse.”
“I’m so jealous. A place of your own. I mean, with the dorms everything is so crowded it’s kind of annoying.” Hilda laughed.
“Uh... you know, you two can hang out at my place anytime. I don’t mind.” You say smiling to them. Mainly trying a subtle way of inviting Rosa over.
“I don’t mind the dorms honestly.” Rosa said with a smile. “It’s fun, and you never know who you will see.”
Seems like Rosa wasn’t interested, so all you did was invite Hilda over. Great.
“Oh look at these.” Rosa said jogging over to a bulletin board. A bunch of papers on it as she looked over.
“So the flying club is looking for more members? Hilda, do you wanna join?”
“No way.” Hilda laughed. “I don’t deal with heights, that’s a bit too scary for me.”
“I-I’m fine with heights, so if you wanna joi-”
“No, Hilda’s looking for something to do after lessons.” Rosa said as you felt like you were rejected.
“There’s plenty of clubs.” You say, trying to mend your broken heart by talking to Hilda.
“I know, but none of them sound... fun you know.” Well you gotta give her that.
“Oh, Roxie’s having a concert.” Rosa said.
“I didn’t think you were into that kind of music.” Hilda said as you had to agree on that.
“I’m not, but (Your Name) is.” Yeah, you were probably the only one in the school to go to her concerts. She’s really good, shame she doesn’t have the right audience here.
“Honestly i’m probably gonna go. Roxie doesn’t care about a big audience, it’s more of practice at this point.”
Hilda smirked before walking over. “One on one time with Roxie, you sly dog?” She giggled.
“If I tried anything with Roxie, I’m pretty sure I would end with a broken arm.”
“Well, I think you two would make a great couple!” Rosa said, as this honestly broke your heart. You don’t want to hear that from a girl you have a crush on.
As Rosa moved on from the bulletin board, Hilda came out and elbowed you playfully in the hip.
“Bet you didn’t want to hear that. Not from Rosa.”
At this, your eyes went wide grabbing onto Hilda’s arm before she could join her friend. “W-What, what do you mean?”
“It’s pretty obvious you have a total crush on-”
You cover her mouth. “Don’t just say it Hilda.” She chuckled in response.
“What are you two doing, come on?” Rosa said as you let go of your hand slowly, waiting for a second if Hilda would say anything. Thankfully she didn’t.
Hilda knows, great. Were you that obvious? She’s not even the first girl who’s made an observation on your crush. Roxie has jested about it a couple of times, and even your Homeroom teacher has said about it. Lenora told you to just go for it... but easier said than done.
As you join Rosa and Hilda, they both started to talk about... girl stuff. Honestly it was not something that was for you. That being said, you made sure to stay interested. Hearing all of Rosa’s interests and stuff, well of course you want to hear what this is about.”
As they talk, you hear the bell ring.
“Oh gotta go to class.” Rosa said, and that left you disappointed. You would rather her have the free lesson with you, and you can spend your time with her.
“See ya Rosa.” You say happily to her.
“See ya you two!” Rosa said, and with that she jogged away from the two of you.
“What about you Hilda, class?”
“Nah, got a free lesson. You do too don’t ya?” She chuckled, moving over to you.
“Yeah.”
“Wanna hang?” Hilda said with a smirk. A smirk that left you worried.
“Aww, you are just going to go ahead and mock me for Rosa aren’t you.”
“It’s such an obvious crush.” Hilda laughed.” Let me give you a hint, when you crush on someone. You want to make it more subtle. Lucky for you, Rosa doesn’t think that way.”
“Like you’d know, I don’t think you are capable of love.” You tease to her as she rolls her eyes. “Wait... then if you know that I like Rosa, why are you constantly trying to get in the way.
“Not sure you are right for my friend.” She said with a smirk.
“That’s cruel, and you know it.” She laughed back to you.
Hilda went ahead and punched your side. “So, you gonna hang with me or what?”
Well do you. Sure Hilda was a nice girl to hang out with, but you aren’t sure if you want to do it right now with her.
