After giving Blake the same initial commands as the other three girls, such as the "Sleep" trigger and the "Master" command, the Hypnotist settled on the first triggers to give Blake.
"Okay, Blake, when I count from one to three, you will wake up, completely refreshed and energized," the Hypnotist told her. "But, whenever I snap my fingers, you will find that the temperature in the room has just dropped five degrees. You will feel the cold as it washes over you, getting colder and colder each time I snap my fingers. In contrast, every time I clap my hands, you will find that the temperature in the room just got five degrees warmer. It will feel hot, so hot that you will feel like you're sweating. When I say the phrase 'normal temperature,' the temperature in the room will go back to normal. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Master," Blake answered dreamily.
"Then on the count of three. One...two...three. Wide awake." With those words, Blake blinked as her mind returned to her. Before she could make any sort of comment, the Hypnotist ushered her back to her chair. "You doing okay?" he asked her.
"I...I guess so," Blake admitted, rubbing her eyes.
"Then tell me how you feel when I do this." The Hypnotist snapped his fingers twice. Instantly Blake shivered slightly.
"Did someone turn the air conditioning on?" she asked. "It just got cold in here."
"Maybe." The Hypnotist snapped his fingers again. Blake shivered again.
"Seriously. It's starting to get really cold in here," she said. In response, the Hypnotist snapped his fingers another three times. Once he was finished, Blake was now visibly shivering. She pulled her knees up in front of her and wrapped her arms around herself, rubbing them with her hands.
"Feeling cold there, Blake?" the Hypnotist asked.
"Y-y-you're n-n-not?" Blake asked, her teeth chattering.
The Hypnotist shrugged. "The room feels fine to me. What do you think, ladies?" he asked the other girls on the stage.
"I think you're imagining things, Blake," Ruby told her, playing along. Blake continued to shiver, pulling herself tighter together.
"Okay, I think it's time to heat things up a bit." The Hypnotist clapped his hands several times, enough times to reverse the effects of the temperature decrease and increase the temperature for Blake above the normal by about twenty degrees. "Feel any better, Blake?" he asked her.
"No," Blake replied, stretching out her limbs and starting to fan herself. "Now someone's turned the heat up too much."
"Really? Do tell." The Hypnotist clapped his hands another two times. Blake flinched, fanning herself even more. After the Hypnotist clapped one final time, Blake reached down the button keeping her vest on and undid it, throwing the vest aside while fanning herself intensely.
The audience went wild upon seeing Blake strip a piece of clothing off her, despite her undershirt still keeping her mostly covered. The Hypnotist instantly went on alert. While he wasn't opposed to seeing some minor stripping in his shows, it wasn't uncommon for some of his subjects to try to strip completely naked, which he would stop the moment he saw a danger of it happening. Luckily for him, Blake didn't seem to want to go further than her vest.
"And here is a clear example of how hypnosis works," the Hypnotist explained to the audience as well as the girls on stage. "Though you'll still respond to a hypnotist suggestion, you won't go any farther than what you're morally comfortable with."
"Does that mean we won't be stripping naked at all?" Weiss asked, clearly looking concerned.
The Hypnotist gave her a comforting smile. "Even if you did, my dear, I'd snap you out of it before it got that far. You may get down to your underwear, but I assure you your private areas will not be on display to anyone." He turned back to Blake and told her, "As for you, it's time to go back to the normal temperature."
Blake instantly sighed in relief before grabbing her discarded vest and buttoning it back up on her. Once she was done, the Hypnotist decided to continue the show.
"And now," he announced. "It's time for all of you to SLEEP!"
Instantly, all four girls slumped over as they fell back into their trances, mindlessly grinning while slumping over. Weiss copied her earlier pose, slumping her head down on her chest. Blake's head fell onto Yang's shoulder while Yang's head fell to the other side of her. Ruby had the most dramatic reaction of all; the young huntress fell out of her seat and flopped down on the ground, causing a great amount of laughter among the audience.
The Hypnotist cracked his knuckles. "With the initial demonstration over, it's time to get this show underway."
