The Hypnotist decided to once again start one at a time. And, once again, he decided to start with Ruby. He walked behind the four entranced girls and placed a hand on Ruby's shoulder. "Only the person's shoulder I'm touching right now listen to my words," he began, making sure that Weiss, Blake, and Yang wouldn't have the same trigger he was about to put in Ruby. "When I snap my fingers, Ruby, you will wake up, with your previous triggers still intact. However, when I say the phrase 'Hypnotist's assistant,' you will become a stereotypical hypnotist's assistant--bright, bubbly, and overly enthusiastic about hypnosis, being hypnotized, and helping me hypnotize others. You will also go to my box at the side of the stage and pick out a new outfit for yourself. Something you think a stereotypical hypnotist's assistant would wear. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Master," Ruby answered.
The Hypnotist looked at the audience. "This is another staple of the art of hypnotism," he explained to the audience. "While in this state, I can modify their personalities into something completely different, though they still won't do something they really don't want to do. That's something I cannot stress enough: hypnosis cannot make someone do something they're unwilling to do. So, if you're planning on learning hypnosis in the hopes of taking control of random people to do whatever you want, I'm here to tell you right now: it isn't going to work."
With that public service announcement out of the way, the Hypnotist focused back on Ruby. "Only Ruby will wake up on the count of three. One, two, three, wide awake!" He snapped his fingers, allowing Ruby to wake up. "Welcome back," he told her. "How are you feeling?"
"Uh, okay, I guess," Ruby replied, rubbing her eyes. She looked around at her hypnotized teammates. "Am I the only one awake."
"For now," the Hypnotist replied. "I was hoping you could help me out for this next small portion of the show."
"Uh...okay," Ruby said hesitantly. "What do I have to do?"
"You will have to become a Hypnotist's assistant."
Ruby's face instantly went blank for a minute before she broke out into a dazzling smile. "Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for my lovely assistant, Ruby Rose!" the Hypnotist announced.
The crowd broke out into a round of applause. Ruby took a happy bow. "Thank you, thank you!" she called out.
"So, Ruby, are you ready for tonight's show?" the Hypnotist asked.
"I sure am!" Ruby agreed, flashing another dazzling smile.
"Are you sure? Where's your outfit?"
Ruby looked down. "Oh! I'm sorry! I must have put on the wrong outfit!"
"Well, your actual outfit is in the box over there." The Hypnotist pointed to where the box was. Ruby hurriedly ran to the box and grabbed something out of it, too quickly for anyone in the audience to see.
"Be right back!" she called over her shoulder as she ran backstage to change.
The Hypnotist pulled another chair out from the side of the stage and put a foot on it, raising him up slightly. "Now, you're probably wondering what kind of outfit young Miss Rose is going to put on for us," he addressed the audience. "I can't tell you the answer to that question because I myself don't know. You see, the suggestion I gave to her is extremely open to interpretation. I simply gave her a prompt to follow and let her imagination fill in the blanks. Whatever she decided on will be mostly up to her and her mind, as long as it meets the requirements of the suggestion.
"That's the beauty of hypnosis," he went on. "Throughout this show, you'll find that I'll use many suggestions that are open-ended, allowing my lovely volunteers to interpret them as they see fit. This once again plays into the fact that hypnosis can't make someone do something they're against doing; with these open-ended suggestions leaving it up to them to decide what to do to follow the suggestions. Oh--and here comes my lovely assistant!"
The audience went crazy as Ruby appeared back on stage. She was now dressed in a tight black bodice that sparkled slight and also exposed a bit of her stomach. She was also wearing a short skirt with fishnet leggings and knee-high black heeled boots. A top hat on her head completed the outfit. She looked pretty sexy, especially with the show-stopping smile she had on.
"Is this better?" she asked.
"That's more like it," the Hypnotist replied. "Are you ready to continue the show?"
"I sure am!" Ruby agreed. "Are you going to hypnotize me or continue to mess with our other volunteers?"
