Chapter #7

Professor We Have A Problem

    by: PenSlayer5 Author IconMail Icon
Leonie was pacing back and forth as everyone discussed what would happen next. Lysithea did her best to maintain her composure despite her situation. It was admirable how she tried to stay calm and not freak out. If she did she would most likely accidently damaged the students dorms... more than she already had.

"We can't find it." Mercedes said as she and Annette emerged from the remains of the giantess dorm.

"What do you mean you can't find it?" Lysithea asked warily. Without that spellbook she might be stuck like this.

"We mean we can't find it." Annette reaffirmed. "We searched that rubble from to bottom. We even searched Mercy and Leonie's rooms. It's just not here."

Lysithea felt ill. No book meant no cure. Or to be more accurate it would be much more difficult to find solution. Everyone else present seemed to realize what that meant for their giant friend.

Before anyone else could suggest any form of solution, the telltale sounds of footsteps echoed through the empty dorms. Everyone turned to the source to find a yawning professor Byleth fully dressed in his battle attire. He must not have noticed the situation yet because he seemed to preoccupied rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"What are you all doing out here? Don't you know what... time... it... is." the professor trailed off as he finally became aware of the now towering Lysithea and the wide eyed students. Everyone had gone silent as he looked between the giantess, students, and destroyed dorms. All while his face remained as blank as humanly possible.

"Uh... high professor." Lysithea waved awkwardly.

"Good morning. Would anyone care to explain how all of... this came to be?"

After short but sweet explanation, all Byleth could do was no his head. While Lysithea left out some minor details, knowing her he had a pretty good idea what they were. Walking into the destroyed remains of her room and surveying the area, he could picture everything the students told him.

To think he'd be greeted with this when he first woke up.
