He scanned the scanned what little remained of the snow-haired girl's room and surveyed just how far the destruction reached. Mercedes room had been reduced to rubble and Leonie's room was in even worse shape. No doubt she'd try to bunk with his father after this and he could picture Mercedes rooming with Annette until the damage was repaired.
So to make a long story short, Lysithea was working on a spell with the aid of a tome that backfired and turned her into a giant. She woke up stuck in her room and elicited the aid of her fellow students to help her escape which lead to the complete and utter annihilation of three dorms into total as well as most of the first floor. And lastly said spell book was nowhere to be found.
The blue-haired man sighed, Seteth was going to have a cow when he saw this and he couldn't even imagine how Lady Rhea would react. Though seeing the normally calm and composed woman flustered would definitely be quite the sight.
Right as the professor was about to take his leave, he noticed something sitting in the corner of the room. Curious, he walked over to see it was a nightstand that had miraculously survived the destruction and got pushed away. On it was black book that looked completely out of place in this area. Could this be the text they were all looking for? If so then what luck. It wouldn't hurt to ask.
He tucked the text under his arm and exited the room. Outside everyone was talking amongst themselves and the first person to take notice of him was the mercenary in training. "Professor?" she called, gaining the other's attention. Everyone looked at him expectantly and he held up the book.
"Lysithea? Is this the text you were looking for?" he asked.
Everyone cleared a path for the giant as she leaned in close and squinted her eyes. While anyone else would've been intimidated, Byleth wasn't at all worried. He knew he had nothing to fear from his student. The violet-eyed girl gasped when she finally got a good look. "That's it! You found it!"
Everyone in the area felt relieved. "Professor? Where did you find it?" Mercedes asked.
"Yeah! Merci and I searched that room from top to bottom." Annette added.
"It was just sitting on the nightstand in the corner." Byleth answered simply. The silence that followed was near deafening. On the nightstand? In the corner!? Out in the open!?
Lysithea gave the two best friends a light glare, one Leonie also mirrored as well as a few other students. The pair noticed this and hastily gave out apologies.
The giant mage sighed. "Forget it. It happens to everyone."
"Well said." Byleth finally cut in. "Now let's focus on trying to get you back to normal."
