In the demon city of Zinvth, a figure stood leaning against the wall of an entrance. At first glance, one might mistake him for a female, for his hips could put even the most voluptuous women to shame, but on closer inspection, he was indeed a male rabbit, just a feminine one.
He was waiting for someone, bored out of his mind in the shady part of town. She was taking her sweet time. Finally, after waiting for nearly an hour, he could feel small tremors pass through the ground. She had arrived.
There was an attempt to keep herself all dark, mysterious and quiet on this night, but the effect was ruined due to the fact that she could be spotted from a mile away.
She was nearly eight feet tall and weighed nearly a ton, her thundering footsteps shaking the rundown apartments, waking up and alarming those who resided inside.
The rabbit only rolled his eyes as her wide figure knocked over a cart like it was a stack of papers. The cloak figure stooped before him.
"Evening, Malroy," she said in a husky, matriarchal voice, "Ready for this secret meeting?"
"As secret as a bomb going off in a crowded street!" said Malroy in frustration, "You are too big for city life!"
He gestured to the inhabitants of the apartments who were leaning out of their open windows, wondering what all the ruckus was about. Some managed to figure it out and was glaring at the two figures.
The being under the cloak grinned sheepishly and said, "Yeah, perhaps the city wasn't the best place to conduct this meeting."
"Well, it's too late now," said the rabbit, "Let's head inside before you get us into trouble."
Malroy led the way as the cloaked figure followed him, getting stuck in the doorway, but she managed to break free....breaking the doorframe as well.
They entered a wide, shabby chamber, which had enough room for the cloaked figure.
The rabbit turned to her and said, "Alright, what this about?"
"Mischief," said the cloaked figure, throwing back her hood, revealing the plump face of a hippo. Though, not just any hippo; a demon hippo. Like two burning fires, her yellow eyes glinted with mischievousness, and she licked her plump lips and fangs. "Chaos, anarchy, panic and general no-good behavior," She said dramatically, throwing off her cloak, revealing her large body, which was stuffed in a ill-fitting red dress.
"Oh, so it's one of those moments," said the rabbit, rolling his eyes, "Well, what harebrained scheme have you come up with now?"
The hippo demon placed her hands on her wide hips and said, "Oh, you say that like my plans don't work."
"They don't, Ursala," said Malroy bitterly to the hippo," Every time we get stopped in some way."
"That was back home,'' said Ursala, " but we are now in a different country, in a different city. We can start causing havoc all over again."
"Yes, well, we still need to watch our backs," said the rabbit, folding his arms, "Anyway, back to the main question, why are we here?"
"To show you this," said Ursala, producing a statue of a strange creature, and Malroy cocked an eyebrow, "Bare with me. Its cursed."
"Then why the hell do we have it then!" said Malroy in alarm.
"Don't interrupt me!" she snapped, her yellow eyes flashing in irritation, "Anyway, I managed to tweak the curse a bit. originally, it was meant to inflict the full effects of the curse instantly, but I spread out its influence and power to a few beings in Furrae. The side effect being that the effects are much slower now."
Malroy placed his hands on his generously proportioned hips and said, "Hmm, interesting, but what does it do exactly."
"Oh, you'll see," she said and let loose an evil laugh.
