On the third time knocking, Evan reasoned that whoever lived in Unit 701 wasn't in right now. This didn't bother the lion. He was sure he'd eventually meet everyone who lived on the floor.
He glanced down to see three boxes stacked up next to the door. Evan didn't recalled seeing them this morning when he was moving in; they must have been delivered recent. All three of the boxes were small, and each looked beaten and battered: Corners crushed in, address labels torn, cardboard flaps hanging loosely.
All three of them were addressed from the same location:
EPISTEME LABS - ZAFTIG CITY DIVISION
4597 FOOL'S GOLD AVE.
ZAFTIG CITY 97212
And all three were addressed to the same fur: Daniel Taffington. At least now Evan knew the name of who lived here.
The lion was about to head back to his apartment when he thought about those boxes again. They looked to be rough shape, and they were just sitting there in plain sight. Perhaps Evan should be a good neighbor and take them home. He can give them to Daniel when he came back home and explain the situation. Evan was sure Daniel would appreciate the gesture.
