Dylan suddenly wakes up as he hears screaming coming from outside. He quickly gets out of bed and runs to the window. Outside there are people pointing up in the sky, running away or just screaming. It almost seems like there's something going on their backyard. When he tries to open his door it won't budge. His mom didn't unlock it yet. Good thing this wasn't the first time he got locked in. He opens his closet and comes out with a thick rope of knotted cloth. Good thing he faked to pie his bed so much. When mom threw them away he just collected them from the garbage and tied them together.
He throws the line out of the window and ties it to his bed. A minute later he is standing in the backyard. When he turns the corner he notices something odd. The backdoor that normally let to the kitchen lie broken on the lawn. There was a large cracked hole were the door should have been. Did someone break in? Is that why people are yelling? No way, then they wouldn't be pointing up. Turning his back to the broken wall he finds a new clue. A footprint that could easily be made by bigfoot, no one he knows has such big feet. Unless...
"Please! I'm not a monster! I don't know how this happened to me!," a loud voice, and it came from the street. Dylan climbs on top of a garden chair and looks over the hedge. There were more footprints some even pressed into the asphalt, it seems like they get bigger and bigger further up the street. He follows them with his eyes till they catch up with the owner. His giant mother!
Helen is confused, just a few minutes ago she was in her kitchen eating breakfast and now she is freaking huge towering over the neighborhood. She has no clue what made her grow. She had examined that toy gun her son was playing with yesterday, it had slipped from her fingers when she spilled coffee on her lap. She's been growing ever since that happened and barely escaped the house before she grew too large. Now the growth process faded and she's at least fifty feet tall. She's naked trying to cover herself and desperate for some help, but all her neighbors do is either ogle, scream or run from her.
