To say the house was big would be an understatement. It was a veritable shelter of tons of different pokemon, it's own small village contained within these 4 walls. He nervously looked around as slowly, he felt like many many many eyes fell on him. A great rumbling overtook the air as a voice rang out, gentle but immeasurably powerful. "Do not worry, I have brought this little Sandshrew to join us today, he was lost and abandoned in the forest before he found his way to our lake, he is young and frightened, please show him hospitality and treat him gently, he is one of our own now." The voice intoned, and slowly, a few of the pokemon approached him before a bigger one made his way to the front. "Well if big sis says that you're good people then i'll believe it! Good to meet ya! I'm Diggersby!" A big friendly smile played on the face of a Diggersby as he towered over the little Sandshrew. "U-um, good to meet you too..." Sandshrew said, overwhelmed by all of this. Soon two tiny pokemon approached him. "Are you" "From the world of giants?" The female Plusle and female Minun asked and slowly he nodded.
"I-if that's what you refer to as outside of here...y-yes." He stammered and the two danced around him. "What's it like? What's it like?" They said in unison. "Girls, girls, don't overwhelm him." A female Raichu stepped forward and bowed her head. "Don't mind them, they're just curious. I'm Raichu, are you hungry dear?" She asked as Sandshrew looked down. "I'm o-okay ma'am, thank y-you though..." He said as his stomach growled. She laughed a bit at this. "It's no trouble, I understand this may seem...alien to you, but if Milotic brought you here that must mean you have a good heart, you'll find that this place is a sanctuary in time..." She said, smiling as she reached a paw out to lead the little Sandshrew inwards towards a corner of the giant structure. Reluctantly he took her hand and followed, the two younger electric pokemon following as well.
Eyes followed the little Sandshrew as he walked, some waved, said hi, and he tried to wave back sometimes but mostly kept his head down. Soon he was greeted by a little alcove with an electic symbol above it and he ducked into it with Raichu. "This is where me and my girls stay here, cozy, right?" There was a small alcove for food and heating up wood to cook with, two beds, and a table with a few chairs. No modern conveniences in sight however.
"It's...n-nice..." He muttered and she smiled. "Go ahead and sit down, Plusle, Minun, be polite, okay?" She said and they nodded. "We will!" They said in unison as they sat in other chairs smiling at him, he nervously smiled back. "So what happened to make you be brought here?"
"Did bad pokemon drag you here?"
"Did you wander here by mistake?"
"Did you-"
"GIRLS!" They heard from the corner with Raichu cutting up a bit of a fish sliver with a tiny sharp implement. "I'm so sorry about them Sandshrew..." She said and he shook his head. "I-it's okay...I th-think..." He said, sitting there nervously as the girls just smiled at him. He felt awkward. "B-but to answer, I-I wandered he-here by mistake..." He said, recalling the past week, and he shivered.
"Woooow."
"Well you have GOOD luck then!" They said, and he wasn't sure if they meant that or were trying to cheer him up. He didn't think it was good luck, the scenery didn't distract his mind from the fact that he was practically a speck now, a precarious speck on an island in the lake, surrounded by who knows what water pokemon...a magikarp would be a sea monster now beyond comprehension! He shivered before a small wood plate with fish on it was placed in front of him. "Go ahead, you need to build up your strength again...you've probably had a harrowing day..." The Raichu said gently as she also handed him a wooden fork and small cutting implement.
"So did big sis Milotic play with you yet?" Plusle asked.
"I love it when she visits us! She's so nice and tells the best jokes!" Minun finished. And Raichu just smiled at them, while Sandshrew shivered a bit before taking a bite of the fish, not answering their question. "T-thank you ma'am..." He muttered quietly, as he ate and stayed silent for the rest of it. "Just take your time...okay?" She gently placed a paw on his shoulder as he was eating, to try and reassure him.
