Sleep In Mikan's Normal Clothes, and Call I...

    by: MCL Author IconMail Icon
"Ugh... No way. We're only like this for a week - I just have to persevere, is all," Hajime reassured himself, mumbling in a squeaky voice. "I probably can't get away with not taking a shower for the week, but I can at least put it off until I'm at least a little bit more... Comfortable."

Despite saying that, Hajime was relatively convinced he'd never be any more comfortable with the situation. Still, he inwardly promised he'd make sure Mikan's body was kept hygienic. For Mikan's sake, at least.

Laying down on Mikan's bed, Hajime stretched out his legs, suddenly taking note of how tense Mikan's body seemed to feel. Seriously, he thought, it was like she was in a constant state of stress and fear, causing her bones to seize up and work against themselves. Meanwhile, her purple hair spread out on the pillow, making it difficult for Hajime to rest on his side without getting a mouthful of hair.

Resisting the urge to immediately find a pair of scissors and cut Mikan's hair (inwardly thinking he would probably do a better job than whoever cut it last), Hajime eventually found a resting space where his hair was out of the way, and where he felt his clothes pushing against him as minimally as possible.

Finally, after wriggling uncomfortably in that position for another few minutes, Hajime found the force of sleep catching up to him - exhaustion from his previous walking counteracting his sheer level of discomfort - and his mind faded into the abyss of the night.

Light from a nearby window blared into Hajime's eyes as his eyes blinked, perplexed.
"What the hell..?" Hajime began to speak, confused as to why the light directly hit his eyes. That had never happened before, had it..?

Then he suddenly realised, after hearing his voice once again, that this was still Mikan's dorm. Apparently, due to the way her dorm was positioned, she awoke to the sun directly in her eyes every single morning.

"How does she deal with this..?" Hajime wondered aloud in an agitated manner. Between her clumsiness and the circumstances naturally given to her, Hajime was beginning to think that Mikan had to be one of the most unfortunate people on Earth in terms of raw luck.

Getting up, Hajime took his surroundings into consideration once again. For a moment, he pondered - should he at least swap into a different set of Mikan's normal outfit? He had no idea how long she had been wearing the current one on her body, but based on some of the scuffs of dirt along her skirt (presumably from tripping over), it had been on for at least two days.

In fact, now that he thought about it, how long had Mikan been wearing these bandages for..? Reaching his hand out, the curiosity becoming too overwhelming, Hajime slowly began to remove the bandages along his left arm -- before freezing, as a group of bruises and cuts made themselves visible from underneath.

"What... What the hell is this, Mikan..?" Hajime mumbled in disbelief, before quickly wrapping the bandages back up. Looking out the window, he quickly resolved,
"I'll have to ask her later. Or... Maybe just ignore it, if it's uncomfortable for her. For now..."

Outside the window, he took note of the sun. It seemed to be a bit further in the sky than whenever Hajime usually woke up. Obviously, Mikan's internal clock wasn't too impressive. Knowing her, she would probably frantically scramble every day just to be ready for morning meetings.

Washing his face and brushing his teeth, Hajime left the bathroom, deciding to stay in the same clothes. For a moment, he wondered if it would be worthwhile to just stay inside and wait out until Usami reversed the swap.
"No..." He backpedalled quickly, "Usami's doing this to make us better friends. If she knows I stayed inside for seven days, she'll probably just have it go on for another week. Ugh..."

Grumbling to himself, Hajime opened the door, looking around at the bright new day before him.
"Well, if I'm meant to talk to people, I better start by finding someone to talk with, I guess... Normally, people are at either the cafeteria or the beach. Which should I check first?"

You have the following choices:

1. Go To The Cafeteria.

2. Go To The Beach.
