"A Vegan burger?" Wincing, Joe asked. "That means no meat, right?"
"It's not as bad as you might think." Bemused, you replied. "We witches tend to try to avoid too much meat in our diet though we do eat some."
Joe nodded but did not press the issue. She seemed far more interested in what might lie waiting to be discovered in the witch mall. "Is there a mad science mall?" Curious, he asked. "Maybe a little deeper?"
"They have something similar just outside of town." Grinning, you said. "They sell their gadgets and serums and what not only they prefer their shops to be more secluded from normal people."
"I wonder why." Wincing, Joe said. "Normal people are good for the most part."
"Mad scientists are, by nature solitary people." Serious, you explained. "Many have families but they often distance themselves from their children until they come of age." pausing, you added, "Sound familiar?"
Joe sighed. "Will I be like that if I become a mad scientist?"
"I honestly don't know, sis." Softly, you said. "No one knows what the future will hold."
Joe nodded then turned back to the window. "I wish I could explore..."
You giggled. "You are supposed to be relaxing..."
"You can't blame me for being curious." Pouting, Joe said.
"Being curious is one thing." Serious, you said. "Being reckless is another. Your chances of choosing your gender goes way down if you step out there." Your smile returned. "Dad made certain you were famous among witches, just don't let that fame get to your head."
