You're a pretty average guy. Not exactly lucky with girls, but they don't hate you and you've utmost respect for them. At any rate, you're on your way back from the local comic book store with a few new comics to read when you spot a group of kids bullying a little girl relentlessly. Naturally, your sense of justice cannot allow this to go on, so you rush in to try and help the girl. "Hey! What the hell do you kids think you're doing?!" you yell.
The bullies look towards you, then continue to bother the girl. That is until a young woman storms towards them, her jade eyes practically ablaze with fury. "So is this what the cool kids these days do? Pick on little girls? I've got connections to all of your parents, and when I tell them what you've been doing... well... your summer break is going to go south real fast." she informs them.
The group disperses as soon as it becomes clear they're outgunned. You kneel in front of the little girl to check if she's all right. She sniffles and nods, and thanks you and the woman for scaring the bullies away, introducing herself as Tabby.
Speaking of which, you get your first good look at this young woman. She's about average in height and bust, but she's blessed with virtually flawless skin the color of rich cream and golden blonde hair. Her jade green eyes are hard to take your eyes off of, though it's pretty clear to see she's ready for the beach with her excellently toned figure. Even her hands seem to evoke perfection. "You're welcome, Tabby. I'm Sarah. I was not unlike you, once. Quiet, shy, and picked on by bullies because I seemed like an easy target. Fortunately, bullies of today are just as gullible as when I was your age."
"Sarah. A pretty name, for a-"
"Pretty girl? Like I haven't heard that one before..." Sarah interrupts, giggling. She turns her attention back to Tabby and asks, "Say, would you like us to walk you home?"
Tabby nods and you follow her and Sarah to her home. Tabby's dad opens the door once you reach the place and picks the little girl up to her delight. You and Sarah politely refuse to come in, but Tabby's dad nonetheless expresses his gratitude for looking out for his little girl, mentioning to let him know if there's anything he or his wife could do for the two of you.
"Ah... A child being reunited with her loved ones. That never gets old." Sarah remarks with a smile on her reddish lips as you and she start heading back. "Say, what do you have there?"
"Just some comics..." you reply nonchalantly, yet feel an urge to keep what they are specifically hidden to the young woman.
"That much is obvious, Marcus, now what are they?"
You attempt to keep them hidden, but Sarah surprises you by flipping you onto your backside on the grass and then sitting on top of you. "These muscles aren't just for show, you know. So now, about those comics..." she says with a smirk, claiming the comics from your hand with ease. "Hm... I fail to see what's so embarrassing about these titles. I mean, it's not like one of them is My Little Pony or anything. Not that I've anything against that, but I can see why someone wouldn't want to be associated with the 'brony' tag."
"...Can you get off me now? This is getting kind of awkward." You ask carefully.
"Certainly. Actually, I think I've seen you around... I think we live across the street from each other. Too bad your name's not Sean..."
"Who?"
"Not important." Sarah says as she gets off of you and even helps you up before returning your comics to you. The two of you head the rest of the way back, and sure enough you live right across from each other. However, before you can turn to head to your home, the blonde grabs your arm and tugs you towards her home. "You may as well meet my folks while you're out here, Marcus. They're both home right now, so it's the perfect opportunity."
"Um... okay?" you say, not sure what to make of the situation, but er on the side of not considering this a date - even if Sarah just about looks like she could be the queen of the beach.
Sarah opens the door and yanks you inside, then offers you a seat at the kitchen table. Shortly after, she introduces you to her parents, who introduce themselves as Garth and Jasmine. Jasmine is... a tall drink of water, standing at 6'4" and a sizable D-cup bust, while Garth is about 6'1" in height. Judging from this, you suspect Sarah still has some growth left in her.
She gives you a glimpse of her room, with everything neatly arranged and a couple of ponies placed here and there. "Like I said, I've nothing against those that adore these colorful ponies. I like them, too." she tells you as your eyes move on to the neat shelf of books... and another shelf filled with comics. The young woman even sets up her old PS2 to play one of her favorite games with you. "Okay, I admit this has all been an elaborate scheme to befriend you. Well, since I saw you in the park wanting to try and help Tabby, anyway. I've... not had a lot of experience at this, so..."
It seems that Sarah has been looking for a friend for some time. Well if she's going to go through this much effort to befriend you, you may as well give her a chance. Not to mention she's quite pretty. This friendship would prove very fortunate later on...
