Uncertain about Gareth and Naphtali

"I don't know them well enough. The last time I was at the castle was fifteen years ago."
"Then how can we be sure that they'll help us?"
You look at your rescuers hoping that they'll respond to the woman's concerns.
"Bartus, last night when we were in the tavern we came across two thieves. One was the infamous Gentleman Thief Mathis and the other was Charlotte Everbloom. We tried to apprehend them last night, but they got away. Fortunately we were able to recover the things they stole," Gareth said as he pulled out the necklace, ornate box, and three sacks of gold. "We believe one of these sacks of gold belongs to you and your son. Do you know whose necklace and sack of gold this is? We don't know the woman who he conned it off of."
Gareth hands Bartus the sacks of gold.
"That necklace and sack of gold belongs to a young woman named Alyssa."
"Do you know where we can find her?" Naphtali asked.
"She's competing in the Golden Sword Tournament." Bartus replied.
"Interesting, two years ago the princess competed and won the tournament. Last year she competed in the Volvasa Battle Tournament."
"You mean little Loraine? The last time I saw her she was having tea parties and picking flowers."
"Excuse me, but what about that box?" The woman in green interjected.
"We heard Charlotte claim that she stole it from a dragon. We checked to see if there was something inside, but she must have taken the contents out. We believe that she may have this so called bean on her person." You replied.
You notice the woman look at the box with curiosity. She remained calm and determined.
"We're just going to have to track down this Charlotte Everbloom." The woman replied.
"Before we ask you guys for help what are your names. Just because someone gives back your stolen goods doesn't mean they're trustworthy."
"Very well, I am Gareth Kamenswartz."
"And I am Naphtali Noir."
You see the man named Bartus recognizes the last names of your rescuers.
"You were those boys who used to play with the princess. You two have grown into fine men. So which one of you commands the king's army?"
"Neither of us do. You wouldn't believe this if we told, but..." Naphtali is cut off by the woman in the green robe.
"We don't have time for casual conversation. We need to expose the corruption in this town."
You realize that the woman has a point. "She's right. We don't have time for this. Erin, stay close to me. If it gets too dangerous head back to Pearl Clam."
"But Percy! Do you even know how to fight on land?"
"That doesn't matter. I spared against Reef using swordfish before."
"But, you a kid like I am."
"Not now Erin. I'm sixteen. I'm pretty sure that makes me a man by now. I even had to suffer in that terrible Exotic Room."
"Ok, but I wanna help too."
You sigh at Erin. She's only a month away from turning fifteen and still she's as persistent as ever.
