Candy brings the stray to the veterinarian

Candy welcomed the dog into her warm dry home causing Amanda to wag her tail. Suddenly Candy attacked Amanda blinding her with some soft cloth rubbing it furiously over her body. The excitement stimulated his body more then she would like to admit. If she could blush she would with her erection on display for her hated rival to see. Apparently her gift of stimulating males crossed species. After the rub down Candy smiled, “There you go boy. Isn’t it nice being all dry. Looks like you got an owner somewhere with that indentation from a collar. Don’t worry I will try to find them if I can. If not you got a place here puppy.” She hugged Amanda and despite herself she wagged her tail. It felt good feeling the warm body next to hers.

“Hope you don’t mind me talking to you so much but I don’t have many friends around here yet. Really only Kyle and Amanda. I’ve been a bit lonely since losing King. So, you are welcome company. I am going to fix you up with King’s old collar and leash. I’ll get you a set of your own if you are here for good.” Candy said as she opened a draw pulling out them out. Amanda gave no resistance as the collar was wrapped around her neck. With the hooking of the collar Candy led her to the garage where an SUV waited. Opening the door she said, “In you go. I am taking you to the vet.”

Amanda perked her ears wondering why they were headed to the vet. She pranced about the back of the car nervously looking out the window as they pulled into a twenty four hour veterinary clinic. Amanda whimpered as Candy opened the door giving a reassuring smile, “Listen here handsome we need to find your family and this a good place to start.”

Candy led Amanda into a quiet lobby whose tiled floor felt cool on her paws. She shook the few rain droplets she received on the walk in off her eliciting a giggle from a lady at the counter watching the extra skin on the bloodhound flap about.

The lady smiling said, “My name is Kathy hope nothing too serious brings you in tonight. How can I help you?”

Candy answered, “No emergency fortunately but this big fellow seems to have lost his owner and I was wondering if you could check to see if he has a microchip and if you might recognize him?”

Kathy looked concerned, “I am sorry to say I don’t recognize him but I would be happy to scan him for a microchip or a tattoo.”

Slapping her head Candy said, “In all the excitement I forgot to check for a tattoo. I was so afraid about trying to make sure he didn’t run off. Do you think I could take a picture of him and you put it up with my contact information?”

Kathy opened the door leading to the exam rooms, “Of course you can but first let’s have a look.” With that she began to examine Amanda who stood quietly taking the investigation of her body. She used a scanner over her back but with no chip it didn’t react. Then Kathy looked into the ears sticking a thermometer in one which tickled and caused Amanda to shake her head. Her jowls flapped in the air sending spittle about. Kathy laughed, “I will have to be careful about you now won’t I. I am afraid no luck finding a tag. I assume this isn’t his collar otherwise you wouldn’t of bothered coming in.”

Candy shook her head saying, “Yeah its my old dog’s collar. I didn’t see one but I am going to look tomorrow to see if he lost his close to my home. Now how about I take a picture of the wayward fellow so we can start putting up a few posters.” With that Candy pulled out her phone to take a picture of Amanda.

Amanda cocked her head to give an amusing fashion trying to have a little fun. Kathy and Candy laughed heartily at this as Candy snapped a couple pictures. Emailing them to the clinic so they could be printed and posted. She gave Kathy her phone number paying for the exam saying, “If you hear anything let me know.” Kathy assured her she would. On the way to the car she said to Amanda , “See that wasn’t so bad big guy now was it. Now back home for a quiet evening after a brief stop to pick up some food for you.”

Amanda wagged her tail remembering her growling stomach. The thumps against the back seat made Candy smile. Tomorrow she would get back to normal and not have to worry anymore.
