Mike the Shapeshifting Genie

Denise looked nervous as she said with a gulp, "You know what they say, go big or go home. And we're already home."

"That doesn't make much sense, but I think I get your drift."

"Sorry I'm nervous." Denise said as she watched her husband take the shapeshifting medallion. "Denise, I'm going to go ahead and isolate myself in our room. I don't want to risk accidentally hurting you with this shapeshift."

"Understood but first..." Denise kissed her husband hard on the lips, "For luck."

"Thanks." Mike said as he went into the couples still trashed bedroom and shut the broken door as best he could. Mike got beside their dresser, closed his eyes, and began to focus on the power and idea of a genie. Something great and powerful that can grant the wishes of the hearts of man. It took a little longer than normal for Mike to feel the changes take place but change he did. He felt a surge of what felt like electricity go through his entire body, but somehow it wasn't painful. It felt...powerful. He felt his body bulking up bigger and bigger with power. Mike felt himself lift of the ground and hover as he continued to grow. He finally stopped growing when his head hit the bedroom ceiling and Mike felt comfortable opening his eyes.

He was standing at least 12 feet tall, no that wasn't quite right Mike realized as he looked down. From his waist up he was about 8 feet tall, but from his legs down...well they didn't exist anymore. But instead there was a blue trail that went from his waist over to something on the dresser. Mike then saw a reflection of himself in the mirror. He was large. Not fat, but not buff, just proportionally large. He now had a full beard and ponytail or top knot or something where there used to be a full head of hair. Oh yeah, and he was also a light shade of blue. Mike realized he'd done it, he'd turned himself into a real life genie.

"Denise! I think it's safe to come in. You're gonna want to see this."

Denise immediately opened the door. Obviously she was pressed against the door the entire time. "Wow. You did it. You look just like a genie."

"And I feel like one too. I just feel so much power within me ready to be unleashed."

"Well why don't you unleash it on something productive and try to repair our bedroom from the golem incident."

Mike cracked his blue knuckles, "No problem." And pointing his hand like an imaginary gun he tried to channel is magic into cleaning the room...and set their bed on fire.

"Honey no!" Denise screamed as she ran to the kitchen to get the fire extinguisher. Mike tried to 'run' after her, but when he tried to leave the room he felt like he was tethered to the dresser. Mike went to the dresser and saw that his lower smoky half was actually attached to one of Denise's compacts. Mike knew instictivly that this compact was meant to be his vessel, his magic lamp if you will. Mike cursed to himself as Denise ran in with the fire extinguisher and put out the fire. "Damn it! Denise, I'm so sorry. I know I can figure this out. I know I have the power I just don't know how to use it yet."

Denise breathing hard put down the extinguisher said, "Okay, you're a genie let's try it like this, "I wish the room was fixed."

Mike felt something deep within him stir and then...
