While pondering what to do Mackenzie cringed when she heard young male voices approaching. Silently she had hoped for female voices. Should she call for help now or wait until she found out further details? She listened to the voices. A few boys and one voice sounding more senior. Father with his boys, did not sound too bad. Maybe she could...

Bang. Before she made up her mind the cabin door closed. Unlucky. The snow flakes got bigger. They might hear her if they were outside, but probably not inside. It was still daylight but the afternoon was creeping on. "Ok I'll check" she heard a voice again, before the door closed again.
