Chapter #5

A Small Reunion

Not half an hour after they got back, the doorbell rang.

"Hey, Elise!" Christine hugged her much shorter, younger sister before welcoming her into the house. Elise was usually the first to arrive. The 28-year-old was single with no kids so she got around quickly. Being the baby of the family, was always a bit weird having a niece who was almost her age.

"What's up, you guys!" Elise greeted her nieces, who'd been grown back for the time being. "Jeez, you've gotten big! Riley's way taller than me now."

"That probably won't last too long." Penny thought to herself.

Next to arrive was Renee. Being the second oldest at 39, She already had a pretty established family. She was accompanied by her husband, Jim and Lucy, their daughter.

Riley felt rather...engulfed as she hugged her aunt. If Elise was Penny, Renee was Audrey. She had a short but voluptuous build. If anything, older the red-head's curves were more pronounced with her mature age.

"Hi, Penny." Lucy hadn't seen her cousins in a while. She'd always been close with Penny, especially since they were born a month a part. She looked around at the amount of people grouping in the living room "I can tell this is gonna be one of those kinds of weekends." She held up her fingers, spreading them about an inch apart.

Ava was the last of the sisters to get there. While she was 36, twins with Christine, she'd gotten married a lot sooner. She and her husband Michael already had a 14-year-old son, Peter.

"Took ya long enough," Ava joked as she hugged Christine. "I thought you'd never do it."

"Yeah yeah, whatever." Christine looked around. Her sisters and their families were packed pretty tightly in the living-room. She pursed her lips, considering of how much of a hassle sleeping arrangements would be. She grinned at her twin.
