"Hockey," replied Emma. "Today the Fearfield Fireworms vs the Chillingham Springheels." You were suddenly very afraid. Of all the sports, it had to be one of the most violent ones. This was hockey for crying out loud and monster hockey at that." Emma then walks into her car and places you in the cup holder. "Uh, Emma," you say. "Should you really be driving."
But instead of answering, Emma just takes off. Emma drives like a maniac and no sooner does she leave the tower does she run over a mailbox. Then she proceeds to hit a streetlight and manage to bend it, all while continuing her drive. One argus has to jump out of the way before being run down. You have to hold onto the sides of the cup holder for dear life. You then turn to see a dusty glasses case in the other cup holder. The fact was plain and simple. Emma's eyesight was terrible. Her driver's license required her to wear glasses but she refused to look like a "geek". That polar ursine is going to be the death of you.
With a thump, Emma arrives at the stadium and you fall out of the cup holder onto her fat stomach and get tangled in her fur as she parks the car. While you're still shaking off the landing, Emma plucks you out. "We're here." The werebear says. You then look to see that Emma had managed to knock over the block that marks the parking space. "One of these days," you say. "They're gonna pull your license. Wear your glasses." Emma just lets out a scoff. "And ruin my face? Forget it." You let out a moan. If she doesn't like glasses, she could at least buy a pair of contacts.
Emma then reaches into her purse and takes out a human sized snow parka. "Here, Tim," you say. "You're going to need this." You put on the parka as the skyscraper sized polar bear walks into the stadium with you. It isn't long until the two of you are in your seats. You're both in the front row so Emma could take notes about the game for the newspaper. Not to mention see the game.
Emma munches some popcorn as she stand on the guardrail with your camera out. You're shivering even with your snow parka on. After all, this was a dangerous sport. You heard in one hockey game, a Frankenstein actually got his head knocked off and in another game, an Argus lost a few eyes. The fact was that hockey was already a pretty violent sport even without giant monsters.
"Here they come!" yelled Emma. "Flame on Fireworms!" Emma's yelling forces you to grab your ears in pain as the home team comes forward. The home team was lead by a phoenix and consisted of a dragon, a hydra, a European dragon, a Japanese dragon, a hellhound, a minotaur, a manticore, a golem and an ifrit. The Chillingham team came in next and was led by a Unicorn. It consisted of a gryphon, a hippogriff, a Nemean lion, a white weretiger, a gargoyle, a wereboar, a yeti, a werecrab and a woolly mammoth. All players looked pretty muscular and pretty aggressive looking and were even growling at each other.
"Kill them!" yelled Emma. "They came all the way from the other side of Mons Terra just to dig their own graves! Burn them to the ground, Albus!" Emma is hardly the only fan booing the Chillingham Springheel. She's just yelling louder than the rest of them. Then you look forward to see the goblin referee walking forward. From the looks of it, he is wearing a suit of armor and has bandages underneath as well as a hook for a hand. If that was how they treated the ref, you're terrified of the carnage that goes on on the field.
The ref drop the first puck and the game begins. You snap photographs and you're horrified at what you see. Immediately the game goes into what can best be described as hell on Earth and the fight to get the puck turns nasty. The Chinese dragon has the puck and the werecrab is trying to get it from him, all while trying to strangle him. In response the dragon blew flames in the crab's face right before the Nemean lion tackles him. You look forward and scream because both of them are coming right at you.
You snap a picture right before they both hit the guardrail and you scream and fall, not that Emma notices since her eyes are glued to the game. But the impact was so strong that you were knocked into...
