(While we're waiting for Wade to arrive, why not shift to Edgar's P.O.V.)
After the meeting, Edgar was relaxing underneath a giant daisy as his werewolf friend, Miranda walks forward. "You know," says the wolf giantess as she shows her teeth. "That daisy would make great seasoning for you." Edgar lets out a sigh. "Please Miranda," he groans. "I don't feel like being eaten today. I spent six days in that wendigo, Desiree's belly just last week. She wouldn't let me out until I agreed to date her. And that's not getting started on the weretiger girl who bit my head off yesterday. It still stings." "Come on," groans Miranda. "I won't chew on you this time. You're the only human I know who can be eaten more than once."
Edgar rolls his eyes. "You know, it's kind of uncomfortable having a best friend who considers me to be food. I'm just relaxing until this new counselor shows up. "About that," says Miranda. "We're expecting two new counselors. "Kaylee told me Elisa is starting work here." "Oh no," Edgar groans. "Elisa is nice and all, but one more stalker? They're getting more bloodthirsty everyday. Just the other day, I was at the beach when I caught Nat, Skyla, Heloise and Dolly playing volleyball. Only Dolly saw me, and she hid me in one of the rolls on her belly to hide me from the other girls. Why do so many monsters consider me attractive?"
Miranda lets out a laugh. "Well," she says as she leans back so her head is above Edgar and the daisy. "What can I say. You're so cute they could just..." With that, Miranda snaps her friend and the daisy up in her jaws and devours the human before spitting out his bones. Surprisingly, the bones come back into place and Edgar's body regenerates no worse for wear. As Edgar recovers from being chewed to bits and holds his head, he looks up in annoyance. "Hey! You said you wouldn't chew!" "Can I help it if I'm a wolf?" asks Miranda before she lets out a burp. Edgar just turns his head and crosses his arms.
"Okay," sighs Miranda. "I'll let you decide how I eat you next time." "That's better. Speaking of Elisa, how's Gia doing." Edgar takes out his wallet and holds up a photograph of an indigo skinned monster girl resembling a cross between a fish, a hippopotamus and a dragon. She had long black hair and was dressed like a Goth girl complete with a navel piercing. "Relax Edgar," says Miranda. "Your ex-girlfriend is doing fine. She was asking about you over brunch and by brunch I mean..." "Miranda!" yells Edgar. "That's my ex you're talking about!" Miranda rolls her eyes. "By the way, what do you think of another human in the camp?"
Edgar lets out a groan. "Well, I'm not wild about having a criminal in the camp and he's from Under Gloom. My dad's killer is in Under Gloom you know. That gorgon Yuri, remember. Turned him from a wyvern to an overgrown lawn ornament. Rest his soul. That reminds me, I better visit my mom. She's gonna want to know about that. But she's been busy working on a difficult potion lately and then she might try to hook me up with another stalker. I've got enough of those. What to do, what to do?"
