This choice: Edgar Visits his Mother (Reserved)  •  Go Back...
Chapter #7

Mother Nidhogg

    by: Unknown
Edgar gets up and starts to walk away. "If you need me Miranda, I'm gonna be visiting my mom. The old Nidhogg could use some company. Haven't seen her for a week." Miranda barks as Edgar walks away. Along the way he's thinking about your arrival to camp. "This Wade guy sounds like bad news. What is the warden thinking sending him to Camp Darkly?

As Edgar is walking towards his mother's hovel, he stops as a bright blue monster resembling a four-armed xenomorph girl walks forward. The alien giantess looks down and shows her monstrous teeth as she waves to Edgar and Edgar waves back as the giantess goes along her way carrying a toolbox. "Have a good day Xeno." Says Edgar unafraid of the giantess.

Edgar keeps on walking until he stops because he has run into a hissing Midgard Serpent that apparently has decided to make a meal out of him. Edgar just lets out a sigh as the giant snake lunges at him. But before the snake could get him, another monster intervenes and scares the snake off. This time it was an obese white furred giantess with long blue horns. She was a wendigo and was dressed like a park ranger. "Hi Edgar." Says the wendigo girl as she waves down and smiles with her large fangs. "Hi Desiree," says Edgar in annoyance. "As much as I'd like to be your dinner or your date, or both, I have to get to my mom's place. Thanks for saving me from that Midgard Serpent though. I'd rather be eaten by a sentient monster and preferably a girl."

Desiree pouts as Edgar walks away. "Next time," she says to himself. "I'm going to keep him in my belly until he proposes to me." As Edgar walked off, he saw his mom's place on the horizon. It looked like an old hovel and there were two other monster girls outside. First was an overweight purple furred monkey giantess who had giant white wings. She wore black shorts, a white shirt and orange cap and was sweeping the deck. Up on the roof repairing a hole was a giant pear shaped woman in silver armor who surprisingly didn't have a head. Her head in fact was tan skinned with long rose colored hair and was sipping a soda through a straw on a nearby table. She was a dullahan.

"Hi Fay," says Edgar as he walks forward. "Hi Katrina." Both apprentice monsters turn their heads and spot Edgar. Immediately they get excited. The dullahan girl's body even jumps off the roof and snatches Edgar up as her head squeals. Edgar grunts as the dullahan pushes her against her left breast. "How are you doing today little cutie?" asks the dullahan. "It's so good to see you. Your mom asked me to fix the roof and low and behold..." Katrina giggles as Fay, the winged monkey looks on in annoyance. "Hey Katrina," she says. "Stop hogging the hunk. I'm Nadine's apprentice. I deserve some time with her son." "Go eat a banana." Says Katrina. Fay lets out a monkey shriek and holds up her broom to whack Katrina's disembodied head when Edgar clears his throat. "Uh, is mom home." Both monster girls let out a sigh as Katrina puts Edgar down.

"Nadine's in her study working on potions." Edgar walks into the hovel and inside there was a strange monster brewing a potion. The monster giantess resembled a tyrannosaurus rex with dragon's wings and lumps on her yellowish-brown body. She had gray hair worn in a ponytail with tusks braided in the sides and was wearing a sorceress's dress. "Now," says the nidhogg giantess. "Mandrake sap, smilodon tears..." As the giantess puts the ingredients into the cauldron, it causes an explosion of magical smoke that forces Edgar to cover his mouth.

Nadine coughs and lowers her head before the smoke clears. "Mother Hubbard!" she shouts to herself. "By Odin's beard, I wish I held onto that recipe." "Mom!" yells Edgar up to the dragon woman. "Mom! Down here." Nadine lowers her head and smiles upon seeing her human son. "Edgar," she says as she bends over and rubs her head against the tiny human. "How good to see you. Tell me son, have you asked out any of your coworkers yet? Maybe Dolly or Janet? At this point, I'd settle for Martha." "Mom," complains Edgar. "Not that again. I just wanted to tell you we're expecting a new counselor. Nadine picks Edgar up and places him on the table as she starts to go through the rest of her ingredients.

"Well," says Nadine. "As long as she's a nice girl. At least 500 stones. I know what my baby likes." "Mom," says Edgar. "You doubt understand. It's a boy and a human like me. His name's Wade Wilson." Nadine nods her head. "That's nice dear. I just hope Miranda doesn't eat him. You don't have any friends your own size." "I doubt I'll be friends with Wade. He's coming in from Under Gloom."

Upon hearing this, Nadine drops a bottle on the ground because now she's horrified of your arrival. "They're letting a criminal work in a camp for children?! Are they nuts!" "Well, they already have Heloise." "Heloise is a minor offender," says Nadine. "What is this guy in for?" Edgar nervously rubs his head. "Arson." "Arson!?" yells Nadine. "You've got to be kidding me!" "Calm down Mom," says Edgar. "it's only for 12 weeks." Nadine lets out a growl and then turns her head around to speak with her son.

She asks him a question?
