Ashley arrived promptly the next morning for work. She had been planning her attack all last night. It also crossed her thoughts that she used to get paid to help women lose weight and she was pretty much being paid to fatten them up. Hey a job is a job. She stopped by the Sweet Shop and picked up an order of 6 dozen donuts again, get the morning started right. She gingerly eased into the office holding the tall pile of boxes and placed them on her desk. One by one she handed them out to the girls in the office as she greeted them for the day. Once she was done so took a box in for Samantha as well.
"Good morning Samantha. Fresh donuts?"
"I'd love them, thank you. Getting a good start this morning I see."
"Indeed. Gotta make sure these girls are well fed, right? And in the process of doing that I was wondering if I could get clearance from you to order a milkshake machine for the kitchen. Coffee is just so blah." Samantha had a smile across her face. Ashley was going to do just fine with the task given to her. She knew the girls in the office were going to balloon with all the extra calories Ashley was going to get them.
"Of course dear, that is a marvelous idea. Get me your notes and research by lunch so we can process the order." Samantha was still smiling as Ashley went back to her desk, giddy from getting her idea approved. When she got back to her desk there was one box of donuts left. She had forgotten that an order of 6 boxes included one for her. 'Oops.' She thought to herself. 'I guess I over ordered. Nothing to do now but have a few.' Ashley had been wanting them anyways. After delighting everyone else with treats she craved some for herself.
Ashley started researching all sorts of different machines for the office, but finally settled on one that took care of all the work for them. All Ashley had to do was refill it in the morning. She presented her findings to Samantha and an order was placed.
Ashley had other ideas for her coworkers as well. She called and doubled the order of sweets to be delivered daily to the office. The reason there were sweets to eat is because the company provided them free of change to encourage their staff to eat freely. A cleaning crew would come in the morning before office hours and clean up the empty platters from the day before and restock the office based off the reoccurring order. The current order Ashley felt was to limiting. The woman on the other end of the phone warned Ashley from over ordering, the food was free but they didn't want it to go to waste. Ashley assured her that it was not going to go to waste. She got the approval from Samantha to up the order on the grounds that she had to deal with any left overs, which meant consuming them herself. So tomorrow they would start to see an increase in the sweets around the office.
Ashley's last change for the day was to up the ante during their staff meetings. Instead of donuts she filled the conference room table with a smorgasbord of pasties. Her coworkers eyes lit up with then saw the fancy feast. They thanked Ashley for her hard work and started in on the mound of sweets until they were gone. During the meeting Ashley took scrupulous notes on who was eating what. All part of the report she had to submit to Samantha at the end of the day.
After the meeting she spent the rest of the day either at her desk with paperwork and phone calls, or our roaming the cubicles prodding her fellow workers with sweets. As the day toiled on Samantha asked Ashley to stay a few minutes after work. All the girls got their things and left for the day and Ashley made her way into her boss's office.
"You wanted to see me Samantha?"
"Yes, take a seat. I'm assuming you have your daily report for me?" Samantha asked.
"Of course." Ashley read her report to Samantha as they shared some brownies that Samantha had strategically placed in the office right before the meeting. The big thing she noticed was that Tasha was by far the biggest eater. She ate more and faster than everyone else. She really enjoyed having treats delivered. Fran was also a big eater, but not in the way like Tasha was. Tasha was ferocious, and Fran was more complacent. Fran loved to have something on her desk and in her hand, but wasn't attacking it with lust like Tasha did. Denise was also a big eater. She didn't eat as much as Fran, or as wild as Tasha, but she definitely enjoyed the perks of the office. Last but not least was Nancy. She was probably the slowest of the bunch. It's not that she didn't like all the sweets, she definitely embraced the company culture, she just wasn't as passionate or excited like the other girls were. There was an opportunity here.
"Amazing report Ashley keep it up. I also can't wait to see the changes tomorrow."
