The next day the milkshake machine was installed. Ashley had also ordered cups for everyone with their names on them. She used her cup to make sure the machine was working perfectly, a tradition she kept up every morning after it was installed. Milkshakes were delicious and Ashley enjoyed drinking the thick liquid. She made sure everyone got some and knew how to get more when they wanted it.
Also the extra food order had arrived that morning. The office was extra full of treats and sweets. The staff seemed excited by all the changes that were happening. They dug in viciously like Ashley knew they would. These chubby workers really liked their sweets and she really couldn't blame them. Everything was free and it all tasted so good. It was murder for their waistlines though. Everyday the office workers seemed bigger. It might have just been Ashley's imagination since she knew all too well how much these girls packed away.
Samantha was happy with Ashley's work. The girls were eating at an increased pace, and not leaving a scrap behind by days end. She also noticed Ashley unable to resist the sweet life of the office. She continued to order her extra box of donuts in the morning, right next to her morning milkshake. Ashley could also be seen enjoying a red velvet cake at her desk most days. Ashley wasn't on any pace to become the next Fran or anything, but things change quickly in this company. Samantha was happy with the office's improvements, but she was also privy to what was coming ahead in the company.
It had been about a month since Ashley started at Gourmet Heaven. By now her progress could be seen on her co-workers. Each of them had gained 10-20 lbs. Tasha was on the higher end of the scale, now weighing in at 250. Her bust had gotten so big she had to leave open most of the top buttons of her blouse for them to breath. Fran and Nancy had steady gains as well, and little Denise brought up the rear, literally. She may have only gained 10 lbs, but it seemed to have all gone to her behind.
Ashley was not immune to the gaining either. She had also gained 10 pounds but was completely oblivious to them. One day Ashley was called into Samantha's office first thing in the morning. She used this opportunity to deliver her boss some donuts. Samantha was on the phone and gestured for Ashley to put them on her desk. Ashley complied and took her normal seat in front of the desk. Ashley could over hear Samantha's conversation but couldn't make out what she was talking about,
"Yes, our investment is up 75% over last month... I know my new investment is paying dividends... The new account? It's healthy. Up 10 points actually... My team is probably going to be the top performers this quarter if we keep it up... I know next quarter is going to be crazy with all the changes. Well I have to let you go, ta ta." Samantha hung up the phone and focused her attention on Ashley. Ashley had slipped a couple of donuts out of Samantha's box and was just finishing them as Samantha was finishing her call. Ashley had had such a sweet tooth since getting this new job. Samantha had noticed Ashley's new business suit. She must of out grown the old one since this one was looking a tad bigger than before. She decided to test the waters.
"I love the new suit Ashley."
"Aww, thanks. I just felt like sprucing up my wardrobe with a few new things."
'She doesn't suspect a thing, the poor dear.' Samantha though as she noticed Ashley's little bulge of a belly that she didn't have a month ago when she interviewed her. "Well we only have one month left of this financial quarter. Time for a report." She gave Ashley the floor, and Ashley presented her work for her boss.
