Kiba looked up to find Deluma, sitting across the room with a smug look on her face. "Where am I?" Kiba demanded.
"Where I want you to be," Deluma replied, "This room," She continued as she swept a hand around her to indicate the space she was referring to, "It's going to be where you spend your time when I don't need you."
"When you don't need me for what?" Kiba asked, the malice; though still present in his voice had taken a backseat to his curiosity.
"Humans, as far as we know are virtually non-existent here... yet there is so much I can learn from your species. But of course since humans aren't really around anymore I can't study them." Deluma explained, "So imagine my surprise when one just popped up in a bright flash of light, right in my living room. It turned out that he was a scientist from your world. Apparently, he was experimenting with a new technology to transport people and supplies over large distances. Obviously it hadn't worked out quite the way he imagined it would. It turns out that he'd reinvented the same device that allowed humans to leave this world in a mass exodus."
"It was a teleporter..." Kiba realized, but his astonishment soon turned to rage when he realized how he had come to be trapped in the world he was pulled into, "And now you're using it to bring humans from my world to this one! Why!?"
"Why does anybody do anything? To benefit myself, that's why," Deluma laughed. She then snapped her fingers causing several lights to shine down on Kiba and illuminate his new room. It was barren. Concrete walls, ceiling and floor. A single bed and basic bathroom. It was at that moment he realized he was in a prison cell. "Aside from that, the other reason is to satisfy my curiosity. I want to know everything about your race. I want to understand them, learn how they can be useful to me and of course... learn how to conquer them."
Kiba's eyes widened, "You... want to conquer... my world?"
Deluma grinned, "Yes I do. I believe I've already told you... I own everything in this region, including you, this city... and a private military corporation. Ruling this little slice of a single continent simply isn't enough for me anymore... not when I can rule an entire world."
Kiba shook his head as he began to realize Deluma's plan, "You're going to take an army to attack my world..."
"And why stop there?" Deluma asked, "I'll take your world for my own, remake it in the way I see fit and offer it as a place to live for the wealthiest anthros of this world. They'll get their choice of prime land with human servants to tend to them. And they'll all live under my rule!"
"One lone PMC won't be able to handle something like that, anthros or not," Kiba argued.
Deluma smirked down at him, "Of course not! I'm a business woman. I'm closing deals with some of those other wealthy anthros I mentioned earlier. It'll take some effort and doing, and of course we'll have to fine tune the teleporter... but it won't be long before we're able to use it to send our troops all over your world in an instant and take the humans by complete surprise!"
"Why tell me all of this?" Kiba demanded, "Do you plan to kill me?"
"If I were going to do that I wouldn't have you in chains... I did say I needed you earlier didn't I?" Deluma replied with a snide smirk, "No, I need to know how humans think. I need to know what they're capable of and gauge their physical strengths and weaknesses. So I have you, I'll put you through tests of strength, endurance and of course intellect," She finished as she tapped her forehead with one of her index claws.
"I won't cooperate," Kiba replied.
"Oh I think you will," Deluma returned, "Because if you don't, you will be the last one to suffer."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kiba asked with a quizzical expression.
Deluma tilted her head to look at the steel door that allowed access into your cell, "Bring her in." Two German Shepards opened the door and dragged in a human woman. She had fair skin and looked to be in her early twenties, she had black hair and wore denim jeans with a white tank top. You couldn't really tell much else as she was kept a fair distance away from you. "There are four other humans here besides you, this is one of them," Deluma stated as she gestured to the girl they'd brought in. "If you refuse to cooperate with the tests, attempt to escape, refuse to obey commands or annoy me, you will not be punished, they will. As far as how they're punished, that depend entirely upon my mood. I might let them slide every now and again, then again I might have a bad day and decide to break a bone or two... or..." Deluma licked her lips, "I might get hungry and indulge my more... predatory nature..."
"You monster!" Kiba shouted as a thrashed in his chains, "And you expect me not to fight this?! Or are you just looking for an excuse to kill humans and torture my conscience for your own sick and twisted amusement!?"
"On the contrary! I expect you to," Deluma replied, "That flame of defiance that burns in you is what I find myself absolutely enthralled by! From the moment I met you, a strong will and lack of fear combined with an agile body and strong bones is what has set you apart from the other humans I've seen thus far. I'd be a fool not to expect some level of defiance from you, but I expect you to be smart enough to know when to reign yourself in... otherwise, I might lose my temper and take it out on someone... who isn't as strong as you are..." Deluma replied as she cupped the young human girl's face in her hand. The girl silently cried and tried to look away but was unable. Deluma then released her and waved a hand to the two officer holding the poor girl. They nodded and dragged her out of the room, "So then, do we have an understanding?" Kiba said nothing, he could only glower at Deluma with disdain. "Good!" Deluma smiled as she walked out of the room, "Be sure to get plenty of rest! You're going to need it~" With that Deluma left the room and locked the door behind her.
