A month down the line (Biding you're time)

A spot light beamed down on Kiba as he stood quietly chained to the ground by his ankles. He patiently waited for the next test to begin.

"This will be a test of you're objectivity and adaptability," Deluma explained over a PA system. Kiba had no doubt that she was watching his every move from some hidden control room, as always. "You're goal is to make it across the finish line by any means necessary," As she finished her sentence a spotlight shined down on the finish line which consisted of a thick green line across the concrete floor on the other side of the room. "Keep in mind, this course was designed by humans so the obstacles will be a bit more... interesting compared to what you normally face," The mayor warned as Kiba's shackles released him of their own accord. "You may begin." The entire room was then lit up by an array of lights. It was nothing more than a long, concrete, rectangular box. He was normally were dumped into a water tank, forced to carry weights or violently shocked while attempting to navigate a maze. But this seemed rather tame in comparison. However, he remembered Deluma's warning.

"So there's hidden traps littering the place, is that it?" Kiba asked aloud.

"Why don't you go for a stroll and find out?" Deluma returned.

Kiba didn't bother replying. Subconsciously, his focus was locked onto the finish line. But somewhere, he was aware of the situation he was in and he wondered if he'd ever find a way out of it. He started to casually walk towards the opposite end of the room, but midstride in his fourth step, he burst into a sprint. As he sprinted across the floor he felt something strike the toe of his shoe causing him to trip and stumble before he fell onto his side. "It's been a month now..." He thought as he got back to his feet and continued his sprint toward the finish. As he ran he noticed random squares of floor began depressing themselves into the ground. His sprint changed into a spirited game of hopscotch as he traversed the changing landscape. "This wasn't the life I was meant for, but..." Kiba's thoughts were suddenly interrupted as a large section of ground shot skyward in the shape of a cylindrical pillar. Unable to stop himself, he put his arms up to protect his front side as he glanced off of the side of the pillar. "...Suicide isn't an option, and I'm not in a position to escape without endangering the others..." A few more pillars shot up from the ground, Kiba juked and sprinted around them with ease. "Engaging Deluma head on isn't an option either, she's got dozens of guards and in a one on one fight I'd be crushed...." There wasn't much space left between him and the finish line. Kiba began his final sprint when a series of walls began rising out of the floor. The first couple were easy for Kiba to vault over. However, towards the end, the last few rose higher than the human could jump, forcing him to climb atop the walls as the rose and leap from one wall to the next. "Looks like I'm in another now win scenario yet again, dead if I try anything and doomed if I don't..." Kiba chuckled to himself as he dropped down from the final wall and crossed the finish line "Story of my life... or... whatever's left of it anyway."
