Harry felt powerful forces swirling around him. The pages singed slightly at the edge as the magic went to work. However, when he looked over in fear to Hermione, she wasn't disturbed in the least.

In fact, she wasn't even moving. She sat rigid as a statue, half kneeling as she talked to Moaning Myrtle. Eerily the sight of a frozen ghost was creepier, lacking the indistinct haze at her edges.

The forces built and built, until they whirled about Harry as if he were the eye of a Hurricane. They even took on shape and colour, swirling in darkness. They intensified and soon even their blackness deepened. It shifted and became tears in the fabric or reality. A slashed window into a different Hogwarts.

The fleeting glimpses darted past Harry's eyes, barely allowed him to see it.

The pages fluttered angrily as the book tried to rip itself free from Harry's hands.

The tears started to join together, making larger gaps. Until it wasn't clear what was real and what was illusory.

Confusingly the peeks into the other world still showed Harry in the toilets. As they whipped around again, he looked to see Hermione was alright. Even as he did, it looked like she was safe. But there was a difference, she wasn't wearing her battle stained clothes.

It was also becoming clear that the new Hogwarts wasn't scarred and damaged from battle either.

He wanted to sob, as he didn't know what was going on. Without the wisdom of Hermione or the companionship of Ron it was just too scary.

A scream tore itself from Harry's throat, and suddenly it was over.

"Harry!" Hermione shrieked angrily. "There's no reason for all that noise."

Harry panted and calmed himself, looking around the room looked pristine. Just as he recalled on first seeing it when they started their experiment with polyjuice potion. A quick apologetic smile to Hermione and he tried to adjust.
