Maylene stood there, looking down at the floor shyly. You break the silence by asking " Would you like to sit with us?" Maylene was visibly surprised that you would ask her this, but eagerly accepts.
"I've never really sat with anyone at lunch before." Says Maylene as you take your seat. "You don't have anyone who considers you a friend?" You ask "Not really. Typically people only come up to me when they need help with homework. I've never really had much interest in guys either, since it seems they all aren't interested in a girl with more brains than looks."

"Really?"
