Apparently, Luke forgot that female furries could sense when someone is lying, because you find the ring buried deep in his pocket.
"What do we have here?" you say. "I knew you were lying."
You put the ring back in your pocket as Luke continues to struggle underneath Ramona. "Alright, you got the ring." he says. "Can you let me go now."
You suppose that he's had enough. "Okay Ramona, you can get off of him. We got what we wanted."
"Aw, come on. Just five more minutes." she says. "Don't forget that he called me fat."
You think for a moment. You didn't need Ramona to walk home with you, so why stop her from enjoying herself? "Alright, go ahead." you say, as you walk home. For the remainder of the week, you tie the ring to a string and wear it around your neck under your shirt. On the day you're supposed to return the ring to Chloe, you walk over to her house after school and knock on the door. Who answers?
