Before heading after Adam, Evan reluctantly slips on a pair of simple girl's flats as the floor is cold on his bare feet, his shoes are missing and they were the least feminine shoes available. He finds Adam wondering a corridor looking confused.
"Found any food yet?" Evan ask.
"No but if I am right I think that room is the kitchen or food storage area." Adam says pointing to one of the doors in the corridor with a picture of a bowl and two crossed spoons on it.
"Then lets get it open."
They both walk to the door and see if it will budge. Luckily the door opens easily and Adam and Even find themselves in a large kitchen dinning room area, with a pantry at the back.
"Jackpot" Adam says running to the pantry. He immediately starts rummaging through all the cans and sachets it contains while Evan inspects the cooking equipment. "If there was a nuclear war, the owners of this bunker would have been set." he sayings settling on a can of frank and beans.
Even turns the tap on and clear fresh water comes out. "We got water too. At least we aren't going to starve or dehydrate."
"We might freeze though if we don't find the heating" Adam says eagerly opening his tin.
"We can go explore more after breakfast" Evan picks up a pink sachet with the same apple logo as the door stamped on it from the pantry titled "Dried pork and noodle chow mein. Freshness guaranteed. Vitamin and Hormone regulator included." "I think one of the owners might have been a body builder or a health nut. Its good for us, we can get more carbs and junk to keep going."
Both cook and start to eat their breakfasts. Adam wolfs his down within a couple of minutes and Evan isn't far behind. He does initially find the taste of the dried meal odd, but his pallet soon adapts to it and he is disappointed when it is finished.
