"This is Bullshit!" Knuckles shouted as he punched the wall, not even leaving a dent in it. "Eggman can't keep us in here forever."
Sally was sitting nearby. "Whatever you're doing isn't helping. We play along. Wait for a moment of weakness, and then strike. We already have Silver, Rouge and Bunnie scouting the area. We don't need any more attention on us." She looked to Shadow and Amy who were in different corners of the room. "All we know is we all have these collars, and they don't come off."
Amy tugged at her collar. "They don't even have our names on them or anything. What's the point?". Shadow looked up at her. "Just like a master puts a leash on his pet. To show ownership."
"That's is exactly right Shadow." A voice came from a TV that dropped down from the ceiling, and just like with Sonic and Tails the voice began talking with no image. Knuckles, Sally, Amy, and Shadow all turned to the monitor. "You see these are my obedience collar-"
"LIKE WE'LL EVER BE OBEDIENT TO YOU!" Knuckles said as the punched one fist into the other. Sally put her hand out and stopped him. She knew he wasn't done, and knew there was more information to be gathered. And she was right. The Observer delivered the same details to them that he had just moments before with Sonic and Tails. "I think this will be a grand experiment don't you th-" The TV was suddenly destroyed by a blast of Energy from Shadows hand.
"I'm done being the subject of bastardized experiments!" the Black hedgehog grumbled. He began to turn around, but instantly fell to his knees clutching his chest, wheezing in agony.
"Shadow! What's wrong?!" Amy said running up to him, as she saw that Shadow was struggling to breathe.
"Amy back up, he's had a heart attack!" Sally rushed over to Shadow and started performing CPR, but her body was forced to stop, but not on her own free will. Then from above, she heard a speaker turn on.
"You'll learn that very little can get on my nerves. But destroying property is one of them. I hope that Shadow learns from this, because the next heart attack will be fatal." As the voice faded again, the others could see Shadow breathing again.
"This is messed up." Knuckles said in shock. "He can just.... do that? Eggman's gone too far this time." He scowled.
Sally shook her head."That wasn't Eggman. The vocal patterns are too different." She looked down at Shadow who remained unconscious, then to Knuckles and Amy. "I'll stay here and watch over him. You two start looking around as well. The more people searching the better."
Amy and Knuckles agreed, and headed out, going separate ways.
