When it came to theoretical work at school, Dimitri always found that he struggled. It wasn't that he was stupid or lazy. He just saw it at something pointless, a waste of his potential. He wanted to be out there, to fly around, fight dangerous foes like his parents did at his age, do something useful with his life, not be stuck behind a desk!
If it was up to him, the black dragon would have dropped out of school a long time ago, but he was forced by his parents to continue his curriculum. But despite his hatred, Dimitri found that there was one subject that he liked, and it wasn't one that you would easily expect.

His voice was never monotonous, even if he had a bad day. His lectures were full of energy and he made jokes every now and then about topics that Dimitri found amusing.
But Ash, on the other hand, rarely listened in class. He said that it didn't matter, for he couldn't understand what the yellow dragon most of the time said. Apparently it was so for other dragons as well. With such a wide vocabulary, he could understand why.
Dimitri didn't know why he could understand the yellow dragon so clearly when others couldn't. His father could interpret what Volteer said though. The black dragon guessed he must have got it from him.
With a bright smile on his face, Volteer entered the room. "Good day, young dragon!" he greeted.
The class muttered their greeting back.
"It is absolutely splendid, marvelous, stupendous to see you ones more," he continued, "Now, before I begin with today's lesson to enrich your developing minds, I need to make an announcement first."
The class sat up a little straighter. It wasn't everyday that he made announcements. He usually liked to jump in to lessons as quick as possible. This had to be important.
"I need to inform you about..."
