Amanda hated her life at this very moment. That actually went for a lot of moment in her life, but right now was a very special one. Her friends had somehow convinced her to go to a college party to end her senior year with a bang, and at first it sounded great. This was it. This was her chance to get out there, meet a guy, make connections, and feel comfortable with her social life. Why had she been that naive? There she was, strapped in the back of a pickup truck that one of her friends owned, and already people on the lawn of the house were staring and pointing, some drunk guys even catcalling her.
"Back off, creep!" Amanda smiled at Sarah's attempt to quiet down the crowd, but it wasn't helping. She was out of her element here.
"I can't do this," she said, hanging her head in her hands.
"You can and you will! You need this, and we won't leave your side!" Becca had climbed into the back and rested a hand on Amanda's shoulder. The large girl looked up and sighed.
"Promise?"
"Promise!"
It was only ten minutes from the point where they entered the house before Becca and Sarah had disappeared, leaving Amanda alone in a room full of party-goers, most of which either looking at her boobs and butt, or some just dropping their jaws as they looked up at her face.
In an attempt to get attention away from her, Amanda approached a couch full of guys and cleared her throat.
"Hey...could I..."
"Sure, babe, you'll just have to sit on me!" The other two guys laughed hysterically at the one man's joke, and Amanda nearly obliged him before another voice cried out.
"Hey! Get off the couch, will ya? You speak to her like that again and you're out of here." Amanda looked down at her white knight, and she was surprisingly somewhat...into him? She'd never been attracted to a guy since before her major growth spurt. He was tall, at least to everyone else, maybe 6'3", and he had the beginning of a beard and medium length hair which was a rich brown. He sported a white t-shirt, a red flannel, and had jeans with a hole in one knee. "Please, have a seat." Amanda looked behind her, and sure enough all three guys were gone.
"Oh...thanks. I could have probably handled them myself."
"Eh, it's never fun to do that alone. Your name?"
"Uh...Amanda." She had no idea why she blanked on her name. What was that feeling in her stomach?
"Well, welcome to the party Amanda. I'm Ed. Or Eddy. Either works." Amanda smiled back at him, unsure about his intentions and if she should really be falling for this guy immediately like this.
