A soldier had a tolerable pay so long as they served their king. A blacksmith lived decently after every big purchase someone made. A fairy dust collector could live comfortably for a whole year by just collecting a large sack of the rare powder.
And that's exactly what you are here to do.
Trudging through the thick forest with several empty burlap sacks in hand, you're searching for any signs of fairies. After all, if there are fairies, then the flowers which collected their powder would be close by.
Of course, capturing a fairy and just getting the powder straight from the course was always a possibility, albeit a rare one. The small creatures look like women with wings, and certainly appear innocent, but you know better. They possess not only powerful magic, but they're mischeivous and attack in swarms.
Your only hope of escape comes from a little vial you have on your hip: a vial of nectar from an Alraune. The fairies go crazy for the stuff, attracting every single one of them in sight and causing them to lap it up like it was a drug, and should you get in trouble you always had the option of pouring it out and hope that they go for it instead of you.
Although, first you needed to actually find the things. You sigh and squint to see what is up ahead.
