As I navigated the unfamiliar college campus, I couldn't help but notice that most people around me seemed just as disoriented as I was. Their expressions ranged from confusion to shock, and I could see in their eyes the same uncertainty that gnawed at me. It was as if the entire world had been plunged into a chaotic and unprecedented reality.
Desperate to make some sense of the situation, I realized that the key to unraveling this mystery might lie in understanding the life of the young woman whose body I now inhabited. But first, I needed to discover her identity and what she looked like. To start, I looked down to find her sense of fashion. I was wearing a fitted t-shirt and light denim skinny jeans. She was also wearing white Nike running shoes. It seemed she had a stylish, yet casual sense of fashion, good for autumn weather, and a long day of classes and walking around campus.
I recalled the biometrics feature on most phones, I turned on her phone. As it lit up, the lock screen showed a picture of a girl with hair flowing down past her shoulders in lustrous chestnut waves, framing her face and adding a touch of elegance to her overall look. It was well-maintained, suggesting a sense of care and style. Her eyes were a striking shade of hazel, with flecks of green and gold that seemed to dance in the sunlight. They held an air of curiosity and intelligence, hinting at a vibrant personality. Her skin was fair and smooth, hinting at diligent skincare routines. She had a slim, athletic build, suggesting an active lifestyle.
Standing next to her was a boy, with fluffy brown hair, that fell just short of his eyebrows. He had a sun-kissed complexion, a result of spending time outdoors playing sports and enjoying the occasional beach day. His skin had a healthy glow and a few faint freckles across his cheeks, evidence of days spent under the sun. He had a tall and athletic build, with broad shoulders and a confident posture. His physique suggested an active lifestyle, and he moved with a natural grace that hinted at athleticism.
The backdrop was a picturesque beach, with golden sands stretching out to meet the crystal-clear waters of the ocean. The sun was in the process of setting, casting a warm, orange glow over the horizon, creating a beautiful, romantic atmosphere. In the foreground, this girl and her boyfriend were standing close together, their arms wrapped around each other. They'd both be smiling radiantly, their expressions filled with pure joy and affection. The wind gently tousles their hair, adding a sense of movement and spontaneity to the image.
After examining that cover photo, assuning these two people to the girl whose body I currently inhabited, and her boyfriend, I held my breath and put my petite new thumb against the phone's home button.
I was in. The first thing I did was open up Instagram, and went to her account. Her name is Ava Foster, and she attends The University of California, Los Angeles. Which would explain why this her body feels so tired. Its 3 hours behind New Jersey, where I'm from. She's probably headed to her first class.
She has posted a lot on instagram, as it seems she has went on multiple vacations in recent years. The Dominican Republic, New York, and Alaska stand out the most. As far as sports go, it seemed as though she played Lacrosse, and Hockey in high school, but decided to step away from it in college. She also seemed to have a very tight-knit friend group in high school, but only one came to college with her. That being a girl with blonde hair, and a slightly taller frame, Sarah Miller. Seeing a picture of Ava with the same boy on her lock screen, I clicked on it. It mentioned a guy named Jake Coleman.
The next thing I did was look through her contacts. There I saw her friends, family, and jake. Among other people.
