“Hold on there, Bust for Brains.” Blue’s cocky tone sent chills up Leaf’s spine, “Why don’t we test out our new pokemon, you know, just to remind you that I’m totally better than you?”

Leaf, ever the one to shoot Blue’s confidence out of the sky, agreed.
-------------
The two trainers stood at opposing ends of the lab, relocated to the pokemon testing room to avoid destruction of Professor Oak’s highly-likely expensive equipment. A crudely painted white gym décor adorned the linoleum coated lab floor.

“Alright, this will be each trainer’s first battle, so I’ll keep it simple!” Professor Oak bellowed from the center of the stage, “This will be a one-on-one battle, like you have a choice, between Leaf and Blue of Pallet Town, on my mark, begin.”

The more feminine trainer stood at the right, never having been so anxious in her entire life. She gripped Bulbasaur’s pokeball in her chubby hand, she could feel the tension in the room. If she wanted to win against Blue, to prove that she was in fact a worthwhile trainer, and more importantly, to get Bulbasaur a head start on his training, she had to—

“Hurry up Gramps!” Blue bellowed from the leftmost corner, “I skipped breakfast for this!”
Professor Oak sighed, “Alrighty then, may the battle…”

On command, Leaf softly sat Bulbasuar down, "Go get'im, Bulbasaur!" she whispered to the young pokemon, who responded with a dim blink. On the other end, a small lizard pokemon with a flaming tail stood, vigorous and lively as a professional boxer. Leaf’s heavy breasts heaved up and down in her hastened and anticipating breath.

“…Commence!” Oak then waved two flags and retreated from the battlefield as fast as his aging body would allow.

Leaf thought on her feet, “Alright, Bulbasaur, use tackle!”

The creature nodded and commenced charging, only to be cut off by Charmander’s superior speed. The tiny lizard creature was obviously very quick, as it managed to charge into Bulbasaur and claw the grass type’s face before Leaf’s new partner could rebut.

“Hey, no fair!” Leaf cried, “Bulbasaur, use growl!”

Undaunted, Bulbasaur complied with a cute growl, which made Charmander hesitate a little as he delivered another scratch, sending Bulbasaur across the arena and back to Leaf’s feet. She looked over her busom with some labor to see Bulbasaur. She turned back to the battle, “Alright, try tackle one more time!”

The creature looked up at his new master with a shocked expression. One could see the tears of terror in his eyes, already scared out of his bud of this new pokemon. But, regardless, he complied with a half-hearted charge.

Blue looked on the battle with his usual cocky sneer, “Charmander, use Tail Whip.”

Charmander looked back at Blue, the Fire-Type was even more confident than Blue was (if possible) and chose to ignore that command, instead going for the tried and true meathod; Scratch Attack.

Bulbasaur hadn’t stopped yet, and despite what little experience he and Leaf had with battling, he managed to hit Charmander square in the belly! The lizard coughed up spittle and with ferocity in it’s big black eyes, it proceeded to scratch like no tomorrow.

Leaf looked away out of pity, she couldn’t bear to see Bulbasaur get so humiliated so early on in his career, in their career. She peeked back a few seconds later, only to see Bulbasaur unconscious with the traditional swirly eyes.

“Total K.O.!” Blue gave a quick gangsta symbol with his hand, Charmander rushed to his side, imitating his master with his tiny fingers.

Leaf fell to her knees, “Ohh…” she sighed, recalling Bulbasaur to the safe confines of it’s pokeball. Professor Oak calmly walked over to Leaf and put a comforting hand on her shoulder, “Don’t worry Leaf, it was your first battle.” He smiled warmly, “I’m sure that you’ll get much better.”

Blue, however, was not near as sympathetic. He loomed over Leaf with a demanding hand stretched out, “Not so fast, Gramps,” he raised his eyebrows, “I won, so bubble gut has to pay up.”

Leaf lurched down even further than she had before. “Not the money I scrimped and saved over the summer…” she whimpered to herself. Oak, perhaps sensing her distress, pulled out a small coinpurse and placed a few coins in Blue’s hand.

“There, that should cover it, Blue, no need to get greedy, right?” he said in an almost sage-like manner. Blue smirked, “Sure, fine by me, but I think I need this money more than she does, it’d all probably go into that gut she’s got going on.”

Oak shot him a dirty look, one of the dirtiest looks any of the overseeing lab aides had ever seen him give to anyone. Blue shrugged, “Whatever though, maybe I can get some breakfast with this…”
And with that, he left.

Leaf sniffled, how could she have lost so early in her trainer career? She had dreamed of this day for so long, only to find that Blue was already better than her! The young girl felt small tears fall inbetween her breasts.

Oak stood up with his hand outstretched, “Come now, Leaf, it’s just one defeat.” He said sternly, “No need to cry, a trainer has to get used to defeats as well as look forward to future victories.”

Leaf had looked up to Professor Oak all her life, since she was old enough to walk. She had always dreamed of meeting him, and to hear advice like that in first person was enough of a win in her book. She wiped her eyes, “Yeah, I’m, uh, just crying for Bulbasaur, you know?” she flushed, “Because he lost, and he, uh, looked like he really wanted to win.”

Oak smiled knowingly, “Yes, I’m sure he did.”

Suddenly, one of Oak’s aides burst into the room. “PROFESSOR!!” he squealed, “One of the more hostile Slowbro escaped the pokeball containment room!!” he then proceeded to grovel at the elder’s feet, “It’s destroying everything in the staff lounge!!”

Oak’s soft face became as hard as stone, “Not my new coffee machine!” he roared, heading out of the room with much more hustle than he led on, “Goodbye Leaf, be sure to train hard!”

Leaf, who’s chubby face was red from embarrassment and somewhat puffy from her sniveling, merely blinked

“Coffee Machine?”
