... The moment that Leaf held the pokeball up, the device opened up, at first surprising the slightly plump rookie trainer as a light began to pour out of the device. The light splashed onto the floor, forming into a small green skinned frog like pokemon with a green flower bulb sprouting out of its back.

"Wow..." Leaf said in awe as she looked at the pokemon.

The small Bulbasaur merely looked at Leaf, blinking a few times before yawning loudly and lowering its head. A few seconds later, snoring could be heard from the small pokemon.

"What the?" Leaf questioned with a dulled look covering her face.

"Ha, nice choice," Blue chuckled crossing his arms as he headed towards the table of pokeballs, immediately snatching up one of the remaining two pokeballs. "Then I think I'll take this one..."

"Very good," Professor Oak stated watching as his grandson tossed the pokeball up in the air a few times. "I was expecting a third trainer here... But I suppose that means he's late, so he won't be able to get a choice."

Leaf wasn't really paying attention to the tree-named professor, she was more concerned with her sleeping Bulbasaur. Crouching down slightly (pulling her shirt over her peeking stomach in the process), Leaf watched as the grass and poison pokemon snore slightly. '... Well... At least it could be worse, I guess...'

Picking up the sleeping pokemon in her arms, Leaf groaned at the fact that the pokemon was a little heavier than she expected...

But the fact that she was now a trainer was over whelming enough to push that out of her mind. "Thanks Prof. Oak!"

And just as Leaf was about to turn and leave...

1. Blue challenges Leaf to a battle!

2. The third trainer (Red) runs in late, bumping into Leaf!
