Moving quickly Blair stepped aside and held out his arms to keep Cheren from colliding face first with the tree. grabbing her wrists expertly he raised one arm and spun her with her won momentum before placing his arm behind her back and standing close with her leaning back, not unlike a tango position.
"When I said I wished my dream girl would show up I never imagined she'd come running." he said smiling slightly at her, Bianca grew lushed. Blair was always a bit of a flirt, ever since they were little he always had some oneliner or complement for her every time they met. Even though she thought it was just his way of being friendly she was always flattered, contrasting Cheren's consistent exasperation.
"Do you ever stop flirting?" he asked her as he leaned against the tree. Despite being close friends and having a deep bond with Blair and Bianca he sometimes grew weary of their respective playful and unreliable antics. Adjusting his red and whitw cap after freeing Bianca from his grasp Blair laughed.
"Only when Bianca stops being so charming." he replied before facing his blonde companion, "Anyway I'm glad you made it Bianca. We were about to go up to my room and pick our Pokemon."
"Oh then I made it just in time! Let's go and get them right away!" she said grabbing their wrists and rushing off again, this time dragging them along for the ride. By now both trainers-to-be knew her well enough to just go along with it, Blair chuckling and Cheren holding his glasses. They went right past Blair's mom.
"Himombyemom." he said as they passed her and bolted upstairs. She blinked thrice before realizing they were merely excited to get their starter Pokemon.
When the trio was in the room Bianca smiled.
"Oh boy! I finally get my first Pokemon." she cheered as she reached for a Pokeball when Cheren stopped her.
"Hold on, you know Blair gets first pick."
"But Cheren I really want to have mine now..." she said before looking at the capped boy. "Tell him Blair."
