This choice: Decided to let Bianca have her way • Go Back...Chapter #6The Start of something new by: okamialpha   Of course, as any proper gentleman would, Blair let his precious blond-headed friend pick her partner first. Blair unraveled the ribbon that was tied neatly and took the top part of the box off. Inside it were three pokeballs, each with a different pokemon inside. Next to each of these orbs where names that indicated what type of pokemon they contained. After looking at each of the labels. he stepped aside and motioned for Bianca to choose. She came up readily and stared at each pokeball with great interest. A few moments of thinking and she reached for the center pokeball. This one was Tepig, the fire pig pokemon.
"I'll choose this little guy!" exclaimed the girl holding up the pokeball high in the air.
"Ah Tepig is it? Good choice, his strength is quite formidable. Now I believe it is your turn to choose. " Cheren looked at most things in the world in an analytic sense and pokemon was no exception. Various states, level up moves and techniques were all quite simple for him to learn and know. Nodding towards Cheren, Blair approached the box and quite readily made his choice. This would be Oshawott.
"Alright, I'm good. Sorry that you couldn't pick Cheren." said Blair, inspecting his pokeball with a great fascination.
"No no, I'm fine with what occurred. Also Snivy is what I wanted so it all works out." Going towards the box he picked up the lone pokeball, glad that he finally had a partner of his own. With this, the three friends could now officially begin their journey as pokemon trainers, a dream for many in their age group. A heavy smile of excitement, Bianca jumped up and down, raring to have her first pokemon battle.
"Blair, Blair! Battle me now! Please?!" What person could say no to such a cute face? Before he could call out his partner, Cheren interjected wih some concern.
"Ahem, if we battle in here, you're only going to end up trashing Blair's room. Might we move to an open field so we don't disturb anything? God knows that there are plenty of those in this quaint town." said Cheren. The last part of the sentence caught on to Blair, he was quite aware of Cheren's disgust of their small town. Bianca failed to catch on to such a notion however, she did often fail to see the ugly part of people.
"Heh, I hope you don't mind waiting just a bit longer for our match." With an affection pat on her beret covered hair, the three ran out the door to outside, all shouting greetings at Blair's dear mother. It didn't take long for them to find an open space to do battle. Standing at opposite ends, both combatants threw their pokeballs which cause their pokemon to finally appear. On Blair's side was the lovable blue otter pokemon Oshawott and on the other side was Bianca's fire red and black pig raring to go.
"Just because you're the apple of my eye doesn't mean I'll take it easy on you. I still have my pride as a man." A blush on Bianca's face was to be expected after such a comment.
"Some would say that statements like those are simply a form of conventional warfare. No matter, the two of you, begin!" shouted Cheren who opted to act as the judge of their little battle.
"I'm not going to go easy on you either! I wanna win my first battle! Go Tepid, use ember!" With this, their journey would officially start, the three of them recognized as trainers to the world.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
