Waking naked after falling asleep in a room with five other girls all of whom, including her, had been wearing nightgowns had Alexa somewhat disoriented and she failed to notice the sound of the doorknob turning. When the door opened with a creak, she froze. She started to ask in a very angry voice if they thought it was funny to wake up wearing nothing.
Instead, she was shocked to see the intruder was a boy! In fact, not only was he a boy, but he was as naked as she. Before she could scream, he said, "Oh, you're awake. Good. We've got a fire started and we're cooking some breakfast. Come on out. If we're late, we might not get anything to eat until lunch. Assuming we find something to eat for lunch."
"But," she started to say.
"Yeah, yeah, you're naked. I'm naked. Hell, everyone is naked. But, for some reason, none of us can even think about..." He stopped speaking.
Alexa could tell he was trying to say something and she had a good idea of what it might be, But, she wasn't about to help him. "Anyhow," he started speaking again, "it seems we're on this island somewhere."
Alexa heard him, but she immediately stopped listening. "On an island, somewhere... Oh great!" she thought, "I don't have a stitch of clothing and I'm stuck in this tiny room with a fucking nut case who also doesn't seem to have any clothes! When I get my hands on Marsha, I'm going to wring her neck! If this is her idea of a joke, I'm not amused in the least!" She stormed over to the French doros and opened one side.
Before she could step out, the boy said, "Don't freak out about the sky. It might just be a localized condition."
Alexa immediately looked up, despite her desire to do anything except what this strange boy wanted. The sight of the clear yellow sky filled her with a sense of dread more terrifying than waking naked had. She froze, only vaguely aware of her bladder emptying itself down her legs and unable to move. She heard a sigh beside her and the boy drew her face down to his. Her eyes tried to stay focused on the sky, but his voice commanded her, "I want you to look at me." Her eyes darted to his and then back upward. "I want you to look only at me. Give me your hands and we'll walk over to the fire. Just relax and don't think about anything but the sound of my voice."
Alexa nodded. She looked into his eyes and finally noticed what a rich shade of green they were. "That's it," he said in a soothing tone. "We're almost there. Almost there... Here we are. Have a seat on this log and we'll see about getting some food into you. I know you've had a nasty shock. All of us have, but we're finally all together here around the fire and we'll be eating soon. Food always seems to help in a situation like this."
Alexa kept her head down, but managed to look around. She could see one big communal hut built of what looked like bamboo and palm fronds laid over a bamboo frame for the roof. She looked around the fire and she could see all her friends were present: Marsha, Linda, Sara, Sally and Mary. There were an equal number of boys, too. None of them were familiar. Looking back at the girls, they all appeared to be as shocked as she.
"Well, that's new," said the boy who had brought her to the fire. He was looking at the hut.
"Yeah," said a heavy set boy. "I would guess it showed up about the same time you got her out of the house. Which, by the way, has disappeared."
"Well, breakfast is ready. Let's eat, then we can decide what to do next." After eating, the group decides.
