Go exploring toward the sounds of waves crashin...

The boy who had led Alexa to the fire said, "My name's Jimmy. Actually, it's James, but everybody calls me Jimmy." He pointed to the heavy set boy who had pointed out the house had disappeared, "That's Tom. The two blonde guys are twins. The one with the mole is Sam. His brother is Stuart. We call him Stu for short. The dark haired kid is Mike. And," he said with a grin, "That's Red."

Jimmy said, "Let's head on down to the beach and see what we can see."

Alexa shrugged and stood up. "We might as well. It's way too weird sitting here around the fire under," she shuddered, "a yellow sky. Come on guys, let's go down to the beach. We might just find something down there."

After a few minutes, the rest of the group had stood and began walking down a path which they thought led down to the shore. After about ten minutes of walking, they group did indeed reach the beach. "Oh My God!" exclaimed Alexa as she gazed out over an ocean of bright red water. "This is just way too weird."

The group looked at each other and then back at the water before them. "Anyone want to go swimming?" Jimmy asked. He waited several seconds, then ran down and jumped into the water. He scooped some into the palm of his hand and cautiously took a sip. "Well, we don't have to worry about running out of drinking water. This is fresh water." He waded several more feet out into the water and dove. Jimmy swam several yards before surfacing. "You know, except for the color, the water's fine!"

Soon, despite their earlier misgivings, all the kids were in swimming. As they relaxed in the warm water, the group started talking about what had happened to them. After several hours of swimming, Tom said, "I'm getting hungry. Let's go back to the hut and see if we can find something to eat."
