This choice: Option 3: Become the supreme ruler - for the good of all • Go Back... In the end it would inevitably come down to this. Humanity simply could not be trusted to do the right thing. If you tried to benefit humanity and give them the gifts to benefit their lives they would only use and abuse those gifts. They come to curse your name for all eternity. You would give them health and immortality, they would blame you for bankrupting the health industry and for overcrowding the world. You would give them food and they would waste, blaming you for not making enough. They would argue over the changes you could make or not make to the climate. They would play stupid political games with you, argue amongst themselves and beg for you to intervene. Dictators, greedy corporations and all the rest would still make the world reek of injustice. They would demand more and more of you to solve their problems until you did rule them eventually. In the end you would resent them and they would feel the same.
You had to take responsibility, full responsibility, from the very start. Absolute power must logically lead to absolute domination, absolute control, absolutely perfect good or evil. Humanity might hate you at first but they would eventually come to see that what you did was for their own good and even if they did not it made no difference, as long as you were satisfied that you had done the right thing literally nothing else mattered. A single 'Yes' from you would be worth more than every 'No' from all humanity combined, you were accountable to no-one but you. Humanity could advise you, but that was it. Having decided upon your philosophy, you decided to implement your grand plan of taking over the world.
First you gulped the rest of the God Formula down. This unleashed complete and full omnipotence within you, now there would be nothing you could not do. You used your newly boosted power to make you all knowing and vastly intelligent. Nothing and no-one could conceal anything from your notice or outwit you. You even boosted your own resolve, made your confidence and will to do good even more powerful. Even your physical appearance changed as you gave yourself a body that would be the envy of Adonis, making yourself a perfect male specimen. There was no reason why you couldn't enjoy yourself too as you reigned. You then started to take care of any remaining loose ends. You ensured that no-one else would be allowed to make another copy of the formula that had empowered you, nobody else could have that power, not now, not ever. There would only be one ruler - You.
You then thought now of how to begin your reign. You had to get the attention of all of humanity and you had to make it clear - you were God and there was nothing they could do to resist anything you decided. What better way to make it clear that all of humanity combined was far weaker than you were than to make yourself overwhelmingly big. To literally outgrow the entire planet by a wide margin. You were feeling positively giddy at the prospect.
Reality shifted at your silent command and planet Earth appeared before you, only somewhat bigger than a dust speck as you amplified your size by a billion times, putting your size at roughly a million miles high. Your sheer presence blocked out the sun for the inhabitants below, but then you illuminated the planet, you wanted them to see their new God in all his glory. You then took total control of every form of media, the internet, radio, television, even the animals and trees of the Earth were placed into your service to broadcast your Message in every tongue both written and spoken, the Message that would herald your control of their fate. You wanted them to fear you (and they would) but they also had to know that you also had the best of intentions in mind.
"Hello there, Earth. My name is James and I your one and only God. I know all and I can see all. I have the power to control reality in any way that I choose, anything I want, happens. There is nothing that constrains me outside of my own mind. There is no power higher than I and no-one in the entire universe is capable of stopping me from doing as I please. Today I have come to liberate humanity and Earth from the evils that plague your lives. I have come to rule over you to guide your lives to the utopia many of you have dreamed of. I love all of you and you will receive my gifts and my benevolent commands to use those gifts to the fullest".
"As a token of my good will I begin by bestowing upon all of humanity the following gifts:
The First Gift of Your God: All human beings are now immortal. No-one shall ever die from now on, you will no longer face the terror of death that has stalked humanity since the beginning.
The Second Gift of Your God: All existing diseases, injuries, lost limbs and physical disabilities are to be healed in both humans and all animals. No-one shall be sick or crippled ever again under my reign.
The Third Gift of Your God: All forms of severe pain and suffering will be brought to an end. No-one shall ever suffer extreme pain or be subject to torture.
The Fourth Gift of Your God: Your natural environment will now be healed. The oceans cleaned of plastic, the Carbon Dioxide levels in the atmosphere stabilised, Smog, Smoke and other particulates wiped from existence. Your cars and power stations have been made clean by my will.
But now that I have bestowed my first gifts, with many more to come later, it is time I bestow my commands
The First Command of Your God: My commands are absolute and must be obeyed. Anyone who defies a command I give will be punished, whether given to an individual or to a community. You are free to question my commands or my policies, however you are not free to disobey them. To this end all leaders of all nations will assemble at the United Nations Headquarters to pledge their fealty to my reign within the next 24 hours. The punishment for disobedience will be announced at the meeting.
The Second Command of Your God: You will deceive your God. I know all and I see all. You may not conceal any pertinent fact or tell me any falsehood under any circumstances.
The Third Command of Your God: You shall not commit atrocities against your fellow humans, you shall not wage wars, oppress others, commit rapes or kidnap and imprison others without good cause. To this end I have remove every dictator, warmonger and other mass oppressor from their positions of power, effective immediately. All will be brought to trial and punished for their crimes against humanity and any further attempts to commit similar crimes in future will be punishable by me.
The Fourth Command of Your God: You will not spoil or destroy your natural environment, you will no longer kill or exploit animals, I will provide appropriate substitutes for meat and other animal products. You will not dump waste on a large scale into the air, the oceans or the land. You will treat the improved Earth I have granted you with respect.
The Fifth Command of Your God: You shall not interfere with anything your God chooses to do. I am above the law and my own commands. I can do as I like,whether it be inflicting punishment, bestowing gifts or even just having fun. You can accuse me of being a hypocrite or bad if you like".
You paused and cupped the Earth between your hands, letting humanity watch in apprehension as you then brought your mouth closer. With a smile on your face you whispered "See you soon, Earth. This is the only the beginning, life will only get better, I promise. I will use my power for the good of all of you. Perhaps even one day when you have matured enough as a species I will set you all free".
With that you vanished from view, letting humanity ponder the implications of what you had just done - and what would happen next.
