Judy felt her hopes soaring when she felt her - or rather, Nick's - fingers close around a small, smooth and round object. She quickly withdrew her hand - actually Nick's hand - from under the bed and was relieved to see that the weird stone was now firmly in her paw!
Well... technically it was Nick's paw, but she was currently in it, so she supposed it could be called hers now, exept that it was still Nick's body, so...
'Sweet cheese and crackers; this is really confusing!' thought Judy. This body-swapping thing was giving her a light headache.
She got back up on her new fox-legs and held up the stone with a big smile so that Nick, who was currently inside her body and pretending to be her while chatting with her parents on the phone, could see that she had got it.
Nick instantly understood the hint. He looked at Judy's parents on the screen and said in her voice: "Listen... err... Mom and Dad; I'd love to hear more about this, but my partner just recieved a message and it seems to be really important. Is it okay if I call you back later?"
"Oh; sure, honey," said Judy's dad. Before he could say anything else, Nick quickly said: "Okay; bye; talk to you later!" before hanging up. He then hurried over to Judy.
"Wow; your parents can really talk," he commented before changing the subject with: "Now; could you get us back to normal? No offence, but I don't want to be you anymore."
"None taken; I feel the same way," replied Judy. Gripping the stone tightly, she thought: 'I want me snd Nick to go back to normal!!!' as loudly as she could inside her mind.
As soon as she was done, the stone began to glow once more before ingulfing both body-swapped mammals.
