Sora was sleeping soundly in the comfort of his own bed in Destiny Islands, sleeping about the adventures he had and will have, as one of the Keyblade wielders it's up to him to defeat the Heartless as well as anyone who abuses them, currently in his dream he's falling again to a familiar place, where it all began for him, Sora looked around in confusion, he didn't know why he's here again, in the depths of his own mind.
"You're a hard person to contact......Sora." A voice said, Sora turned around to find the image of Xehanort, old man form and all, Sora naturally drew his Keyblade and defended himself.
"You, I don't know how you invaded my dreams, but I'll make you sorry." Sora declared as he charged him, Xehanort sighed as he disarmed him and held him in place, Sora struggled.
"You still understand nothing, after all this time." Xehanort sighed, "you've been deceived."
"I'm not interested in your lies." Sora told him.
"The light is blinding to the truth, I learnt that the hard way." Xehanort started, "you know not what I intend to do."
"And what ARE you trying to accomplish?" Sora asked.
"Balance." Xehanort stated, "darkness was something to be feared, to be slain, but darkness can never go away, not truly, where there is light, darkness will form, and where there is darkness, light will shine." Xehanort paused, "one cannot exist without the other."
"You call destroying worlds, ruining lives, BALANCE?!" Sora asked, Xehanort sighed.
"I was a fool, caught up by my own hubris, I allowed the darkness to overwhelm, this is not true balance, Erauqs rejected this concept, too focused on the light, unaware that too much light will engulfed the world IN light, darkness MUST exist." Xehanort pointed to him, "you, you can succeed where I failed, you're pure enough to not get overwhelmed by darkness, but first you must taste darkness in your heart."
"My heart belongs to light." Sora delcared.
"And this is why you fail." Xehanort said, "you can not be a true Keyblade Master if you don't balance light AND darkness." Sora said nothing. "You can't do it alone, you will need help, here." Xehanort shot a dark magic in him, "this will assert your control over others, bind their hearts to yours, use it wisely."
"And what makes you think I'll go along with this?" Sora asked, Xehanort said nothing and showed him an image of Yen Sid and King Mickey talking to one another.
"Sora is an enigma." Yen Sid started, "we need him on our side to ensure the light prevails."
"I feel bad about doing this to him." Mickey muttered.
"It's for his own good, we need to keep a leash on him, Xehanort has already contacted him, should he succeed in swaying him, all will be lost." Yen Sid told him.
"What happens if we lose him?" Mickey asked, Yen Sid said nothing.
"You know what must be done." Yen Sid stated, "have Riku deal with him, while I hate to resort to such tactics, we CANNOT lose him to Xehanort, no matter what." The image fade as Sora is angered at this.
"No." Sora said, Xehanort nodded sadly.
"You are a pawn to them, they think that the darkness is growing in your heart, the same darkness they fear, they do not understand darkness is necessary." Xehanort said.
"Lies, all lies." Sora muttered. Xehanort sighed.
"I never lied to you, not once." Xehanort replied, "use my gift, convert the princesses of heart, and whoever else you think will help, restore the balance, make up for my misguided deeds, stop those that use the darkness as a weapon." Before Sora can say more, he woke up, feeling a new power within him, indicated the dream is real. Sora got out of bed and wondered what to do about it, if anything.
"Hey!" A voice said, Sora was started to see Kairi smiling at him, "there you are.....you lazy bum." Sora chuckled at that, just like old times, Kairi has grown a lot since then, her feminine curves is proof of that.
"Hey Kairi." Sora smiled, "you up for doing something?" Kairi grinned at that.
"Well I can think of something." Kairi replied and lightly punching him on the arm, Sora feigned hurt as they walked towards the beach, Sora was tempted to hold her hand, but he didn't know if Kairi would appreciate that or not.
"What's wrong?" Kairi asked, it's eerie how she can see through him.
"Oh, I had a dream." Sora honestly said, not wanting to lie to her.
"Again, is it the heartless?" Kairi asked.
"No." Sora shook his head, "it's hard to describe." He felt his power dwell within, Sora subconsciously tapped into it in order to quell the power within, the power Xehanort gave him in the dream activated as Sora's eyes glowed an eerie colour, Kairi stared fixated at them, before relaxing, her eyes glazing over. Sora noticed Kairi's state and was worried, what did he do?
"Kairi?" Sora asked.
"Yes." Kairi said in a monotone voice, Sora blinked a few times, waving an arm in front of her, no response.
"Kairi, are you okay?" Sora asked, no response, "tell me you're fine."
"I'm fine." Kairi said as she heard the command, Sora is still confused, was it the gift, what exactly did Xehanort give him? Sora needed to find out more, maybe he can undo what he did.
