Sora didn't know what to do, she was just standing there staring at nothing, she's responding well enough so there's at least that, he didn't have to worry about inadvertently killing her, did he accidentally take her heart again, no that's not the case he would've felt it. Thanks to their stronger connection their hearts were in sync with one another, but this is Xehanort he's talking about, can he REALLY be trusted.
"That dream." Sora muttered, it was so real, how did it happen, WHY did it happen? Sora thought back to when Lea saved him from turning into another Xehanort, perhaps then? It is possible a piece of Xehanort went inside him during or after his rescue, that's when Yen Sid gave him the day off to relax in Destiny Islands, after denying him the right to be Keyblade Master, thinking back it didn't really make much sense. Riku went in and saved him and got promoted, but he had the entire deck stacked against him, targeted for an attack, went through HELL, but he gets denied.
"What is this feeling?" Sora muttered, a twinge of anger stirred in his heart, he hasn't been the same since, and now Xehanort is showing regrets for his actions, and told him HE needed to maintain the balance of light and darkness, is he telling the truth, or is this yet another of his schemes? He honestly doesn't know, does Kairi know? No he can't think like that, he trusts his friends, still..... The power pulsed through him again, showing him what to do, how to do it. Sora saw that the gift Xehanort gave him was mastery over people's hearts, he can control them in every regard, and even alter them how he sees fit, in short he's been given mind control powers, why on earth would Xehanort give him THAT?! Is it a way to turn to darkness, or is there something more going on?
"I need to worry about that later." Sora muttered to himself, "if it is mind control I can snap Kairi out of it easily." Sora was about to, but the idea of Xehanort being right weighed in his mind, no this is ridiculous, Kairi is innocent he's sure of it, but.....would it hurt to ask?
"Kairi, what do you know about Yen Sid's plan about using me?" Sora asked.
"I don't know what you mean." Kairi muttered, Sora nodded as he thought Kairi is innocent, he felt a bit bad for doubting her. Does Riku know?
"Kairi, follow me." Sora commanded, Kairi nodded as they went to find Riku, but he's nowhere to be found, but a message.
"Went to do a mission, be back later, Riku." Sora read, he sighed, "never around when I need to talk to him, typical." He can't let this bother him, if Xehanort IS telling the truth then he had to be smart about this, wait until Yen Sid contacts him, and then Sora will take it from there, maybe the world DOES need to balance.
"I need to think on this more." Sora nodded, he noticed he still hasn't released Kairi from his control, she's just standing there waiting for orders.
"Sorry Kairi." Sora said, a part of him wants to test this out more, no this isn't right, he can't do this to Kairi, not to her, but he does need to test the limits of his ability, doesn't he?
"But I can't do this to Kairi, it's not right." Sora said, "I know I should see what exactly what I can do with this ability, but....." Sora paused, maybe small tests wouldn't hurt, maybe finding Selphie and testing it on her is the better answer if he's uneasy about doing this to Kairi. Sora seemed conflicted.
"What's happening to me, I always knew what to do." Sora said, it had to be Xehanort, no that's not true, he knew what it was, it's him, his heart is conflicted, he felt a darkness swell stemming from not getting promoted, and the possibility of Yen Sid using him, the light is still there, balancing the darkness within, he need to control both sides of him, he can't deny it exists but he can quell it. Sora sighed.
"If it's a balancing act then I need to know what line I can't cross." Sora said, still looking at Kairi, he came to a decision on what to do, he just hoped it was the right one.
