William,a rather Snobbish Parrot Boy

All you could do was stare at the huge grey-ish mountains approaching you, the ground shaking violently. You were able to somewhat make out what those large as they came closer, and you came to a conclusion that they were in fact....TALONS! "Is this...anthro.....a.......?" Your thoughts were interrupted by a voice of some sort.

"Where is this......?" You heard a raspy, rather awkward sounding voice in the distance. But all you could do was stand there and take in the sight of two pairs of large bird claws stamping in your very direction, the sunlight partially reflecting off of the claws, making them shine a little. "Uhhhhh.....hooman? Hewman? Uhh, haman?" The strange voice questioned with a confused sounding tone to it.

"And how do you pronounce this name?" The voice questioning itself again. The glimmering talons now closer to you.

"What am I doing here?!" You ask yourself in a panicking tone. "There's a giant bird walking towards me, with no idea how to pronounce my name or species, and is UNAWARE of the fact that I'm in his path! I gotta get outta the way!" You said to yourself snapping out of the trance the giant shining claws have put you under. With the claws now at a dangerous distance you try to thrust your body out of the bird's deadly path, you fumble on your clumsy self and fall flat on your back. Once again, you hear the strange voice "He should be right here, where is he?" The bird asked himself again, his steps becoming more slow and soft.

As you lay on your back, what you see is something completely unimaginable. A giant colorful body, mixtures of red, blue, yellow, and green, and a large white beak with some black mixed in, with two large eyes looking at what looks like a piece of paper in his feathered hand, still unaware of the small creature he is about to step on. Despite your current situation, you just lay there and stare at the beauty of this god-like avian.

"Maybe this guy's further ahead" The raspy voice said, the voice being no longer distant "Still don't know how to say this name...."

Then, the booming of his steps picked up again and just like that you snapped out of your little bird watching session.

"Gah! I forgot! Giant talons of doom!" You shout.

But it was too late, a glimmering clawed foot hovered above you, and all you could do was stare at it, getting in every detail of the rough-skinned looking foot as it closed in on you, noticing some small twigs and leaves stuck in the creases of the giant's toes.

"Not like this!" You sob, bracing for a painful end to your young life.

With your eyes tightly closed you feel a powerful tremor and loud sound of cracking.

"Am I.....?" You whimper, afraid to open your eyes.

Just then you hear

"Well, he should be RIGHT here" A familiar voice said in a confident tone.

After hearing that you quickly open your eyes.

"Huh?!" You gasp to yourself. "I'm not....dead?"

You hastily gather your bearings and observe your surroundings and notice that you appear to be in some cave, or at the bottom of a ravine because you see light shining through the top. Then it hit you.

"Oh jeez! Don't tell me I'm......" You try not to accept the truth until you look up and see the a colorful head looking around curiously in the opening of the ravine.

"In between his toes...." You sigh to yourself. Then something else strikes you as you look at the walls that are his toes.

"Man...I'm so small....well....at least he stopped walking for now."

You look around your new environment. "How can I get this guy's attention?"

Being trapped between two toes surprisingly gave you much needed pacing space. Then after a moment, you come up with a plan.

"Ok, what if I tried this?" You walked over to the "walls" and began poking and gently sliding your fingers across the gray rough surface.

"Hehehe..." You hear a laughter building up in the bird's voice.

"Ohh you felt that huh?" You chuckle to yourself as you continue.

The "walls" started to slowly move up and down and the laughter from above intensified.

"Hehehe who's doing that? Heheehe"

The bird looked down raising the foot that had imprisoned you and at last, you saw the light again.

You sighed with relief as the colossal toes released you and the outside world was now visible once more.

"OH! I'm so sorry!" The avian's voice boomed as he noticed you standing where his foot was. "Are you the...uhh hewman?" He asked nervously taking a few big steps back.

You looked at the nervous face on the colorful bird, his pupils wide and his beak gaping looking down at you.

"Uhhh...Yes!" You shout trying not to quiver in your voice.

"Oh! I am so very, very sorry!" The bird apologized again, carefully kneeling down to get a better view of you.

"Heh it's nothing! I'm Jeremy by the way!" You hold out your hand to the majestic being.

"A handshake? Oh! Yes! Sorry!" He holds out a massive blue feathered finger for you to grab.

While you were trying to shake the feather that was bigger than a house, the bird spoke again.

"Oh where are my manners? I'm William! It's a huge pleasure Jeremy!" He said cheerfully.

"Likewise William!" You reply, letting go of his finger.

"I hope your travel here was not too tiresome." William said, the voice forming a more formal tone.

"Well it was long...but I hope it will pay off in the end as we learn about each other." You politely reply.

"Yes of course! Don't worry Jeremy! You're journey will not go in vain!" William reassured you.

"Well I guess we should get going" You suggest to him.

"Ah! Yes, let's be on our way!" He said with haste in his voice.

"Keep in mind though...this place is..well...different than your schools Jeremy" William began to explain to you. "By protocol I must...carry you, if that is fine, to your classes and keep a constant watch on you."

"Not a problem at all! I completely understand." You told William. "I know they can't have a little bag of flesh running around getting stepped on...heheheh" You joked with him.

He smiled "Well then, Let's be off!" He ordered, laying his feathered hand on the ground before you. "Hop on! No time to waste!" He ordered again.

You climbed onto his hand, feeling the soft feathers as you get on.

"Ok, next stop...." He said, slowly standing up. "History class!"

He turned around and began walking with you in his palm.

"And we're off!"
