Being a zoo animal does sound like more fun than becoming just a simple cat. You agree with your mother's plan and she goes off to call the zoo about her idea. You wonder if it really was a good idea after all.
The next day the doorbell rings and you open the door. To your surprise you see the local zoo director standing at your door with his secretary. Your mom appears next to you and she explains she invited them over to see the machine. You all go to the backyard where the machine is still in the shed. Your mom offers to swap bodies with the secretary who looks a little surprised. The director doesn't mind and after they both enter the pods they come out after a minute. Your mother's body looks rather confused, while the secretary's body seems excited.
The zoo director believes the machine works and offers to swap you with one of their animals. Of course the machine has to be brought to the zoo. You don't mind and the director calls up some of his men to transport the machine to the zoo.
