As Jared stepped out of the shower, a towel wrapped around his waist, he had no idea that Drew was about to use his newfound alien power. With a mischievous glint in his eye, Drew pointed at Jared and whispered, "Zero-G."
Instantly, Jared's feet lifted off the wet tile floor.
"Dude! Not cool!" Jared yelped, as he began to float upwards, his arms flailing for something to grab onto.
Drew couldn't help but laugh as Jared, now weightless, drifted helplessly into his bedroom. The oscillating fan, set on high, hit Jared with gusts of air, sending him spinning like an astronaut in a zero-gravity training session.
"Help me down!" Jared pleaded, rotating slowly.
Drew just chuckled and watched as Jared tried to swim through the air, his efforts only making him spin more.
"You look like a human helicopter," Drew commented, still amused by the spectacle.
Jared, determined to regain control, pushed off the walls, propelling himself towards the hallway. "I'm going to get you for this," he threatened, voice wobbling as he bounced from ceiling to floor.
The house was empty, save for the two of them, and echoes of laughter and Jared's occasional "Whoa!" filled the space. It was a scene straight out of a sci-fi comedy, with Jared floating and tumbling around, trying to navigate the zero-gravity obstacle course that was now his home.
Eventually, Drew took pity on his friend and with a snap of his fingers, gravity returned. Jared landed with a soft thud on the living room couch, the towel miraculously still in place.
"Next time, I get to control the powers," Jared said, trying to catch his breath, but the smile on his face showed he wasn't really mad. "Deal?"
Drew nodded, grinning. "Deal. But let's be honest, that was pretty epic."
They both laughed, the day's unexpected turn cementing their friendship even further. After all, not every day do you get to float around your house, courtesy of alien powers.
“Next time, I’m gonna blow up your muscles and fill them up with air if you don’t stop complaining!” Drew laughed.
“Aww!” Jared groaned, just as he felt his feet leave the ground again! All Drew had to say was “Jared’s gravity is off” and, just like a switch, Jared became completely weightless, and there was nothing he could do about it!
Drew and Jared have been inseparable since they were kids. They met in kindergarten when Drew defended Jared from a playground bully, and they’ve been best friends ever since. They share a love for comic books, video games, and all things sci-fi, which only deepened their bond.
Their friendship is built on a foundation of trust, loyalty, and a shared sense of humor that often leads to the kind of shenanigans you just witnessed with the zero-gravity prank. Despite their occasional mischief, they always have each other’s backs.
Drew, the more adventurous of the two, often comes up with wild ideas and schemes. Jared, while more cautious, can’t help but get swept up in Drew’s enthusiasm. Together, they make a dynamic duo, facing the ups and downs of teenage life with a laugh and an unshakeable camaraderie.
Whether they’re teaming up for a school project, competing in a gaming marathon, or dealing with the complexities of high school, they do it together. And now, with Drew’s alien powers adding an extra layer of excitement to their lives, they’re ready to embark on even more extraordinary adventures.
With Drew's alien powers at play, Jared found himself completely weightless once again. He tried to maneuver around the house by blowing air from his mouth and flapping his arms, but it was like trying to swim in space. As he floated past the air vent, a sudden gust from the central air conditioning caught him off guard, sending him sailing into the guest bedroom.
"Whoa, Nelly!" Jared exclaimed, as he bumped into a wall. He pushed off with his feet, aiming for the hallway, but his trajectory was a bit off. He glided down the hall, narrowly missing a family portrait, and burst into the living room.
The large ceiling fan in the living room was on full blast, and as Jared floated underneath it, the air current caught him. He began to spin, slowly at first, then faster and faster until he was a blur. "Drew, stop this crazy thing!" he shouted, his voice rising in pitch with each rotation.
But Drew was doubled over with laughter, unable to heed Jared's plea. Jared, now a human tornado, spun all the way into the kitchen, where he finally grabbed onto the refrigerator handle, halting his wild ride. Pots and pans clattered to the floor around him, and the kitchen towel fluttered like a flag of surrender.
Drew finally calmed down enough to snap his fingers, and gravity returned to Jared, who slumped against the fridge, dizzy but safe. "You know," Jared said, a bit breathless, "if we ever need a blender, I'm your guy."
They both laughed, the absurdity of the situation not lost on them. It was clear that with Drew's alien powers, life was never going to be boring.
“So, are you ready to try this outside, bro?” Drew asked his pal.
“Oh, nuts! I just remembered! I got something on my calendar this afternoon! I have to go to…” Jared responded, as he remembered something he had to do that afternoon.
Drew was already thinking about all the fun he was going to have, while making Jared weightless while he was outside!
