Remember that you can mouse over a person's portfolio icon to see when they were last on; if they have it set to private or they haven't been on in a while, don't send GPs. *Smile*

In most cases, people don't "intend" to not return; that is to say, 99% of members who don't come back wouldn't think to turn off GP receipt before signing off one day incase they decided to never return -- most members who decide they're not coming back use the "Close an Account" link at the bottom of any page to close their account down. The rest tend to logout and just forget about the account, or something happens in their off-line lives that lead them to not make it back.

When someone is intentionally away for a while, they tend to change their handle to "SoAndSo - Away til XXXX". Thus making it easy to see those who knew they'd be away for some time.
