| Prompt #14: Rant about something that can't be changed and how you wish it could be. My rant is community growth. No, it is not because I do not like people. I love new people, new neighbors but I do not like the congestion it brings; traffic, more traffic, more congestion at functions, more at my local Walmart! OMG, shopping. We use at lot of home deliveries. It is expensive but time is important and more so at my age, 79 and my husband at 91. Standing and looking for items in the market is a bummer. Today, my husband and myself had a bad experience going to an appointment at the VA Hospital in Tampa, Florida. We could not find a parking place. We were told by letter to part in the garage. I went to the garage and drove around and around and around and finally decided to leave. Then we were told by workers at the hospital that we could use the valet parking and that it was free. I would have paid. So we get in line with our car, waiting to be addressed by an individual to park our car and we are told since we don't have a handicap sticker we can't let them park our car. No sign was posted and nothing on the letter that came from the VA. We tried again to find a parking spot and out of frustration decided to go home. We lost our appointment and hour and gas of our time. I love people and everyone should have their time on earth, however there is too much traffic! Seabreeze 4.16.25 |
