I sat in my office staring out at her in my window for hours...days. I couldn't resist.

Touched
There she was;
still, weightless and aware.
Her legs, like something medieval;
dig in and hold her there.
Her body quivering in delight,
lying comfortably in her place.

Here I am;
reckless, engrossed and curious,
My finger stretched out like that scene from E.T.;
I reach out to her, with senses heightened,
my heart; racing, my thoughts; like lightning through the sky.

There we were;
touched, disgusted, shocked;
Our bodies were as prisoners newly released,
We each jump away from that moment.
Our lives crossed paths like clumsy pups,
jolting in every which direction.
Heck yeah, I touched that spider’s leg. How could I resist?
She was practically daring me all night.
