"In An Instant" reflects on life's sudden start, its growth, and its inevitable decline.

I was born in an instant,
soft to touch and feel,

I was born in an instant;
in no time, I could squeal.

I was born in an instant;
inherently, I could cry,

I was born in an instant,
not knowing the reasons why.

We all come into being
the result of someone's choices,

We all come into being
not understanding voices.

We all come into being,
siphoning from our fountain,

We all come into being;
start building up our Mountain.

I was born in an instant,
multiplying cell by cell,

I was born in an instant,
depleting my life's well.

I was born in an instant;
I started life by trying,

If we're not busy being born,
we're already busy dying.
